TELL US WHAT YOU THINK OF THIS BRAND NEW ISSUE!
The cover will be with us in the next few days, but I couldn't hold off on posting this bad boy! Really pleased with where we're ramping up to go now...

I also went and got solicit crazy. Expect solicits to go up to #75 by the end of the week (and for the solicits to get vaguer and vaguer as we get into 2015 and I realise I can't spoil ANYTHING. EVER. ;D)

I have some backissues to get through first, but I can't wait to dig into this issue. Charlie's run on this title has been one of the all-time best on the site, so I know I won't be disappointed.

I'm enjoying Alex's cover motif, with the headless stance showing off the big colours and big designs that your GL really digs into.
Good action, really excited to see this arc conclude in a big way. Hal acting selflessly - in quite a murky 'heroic' move - was my highlight, big step forward for where you're taking him.

Yeah, there were loads of factors for this cover design we've been using, I've been really chuffed with it. Really cool aesthetic. Hal's getting the engine going again, slowly coming back up to speed. This comes into effect in a big way next issue, which I'm really psyched for. It's the culmination of a lot of threads from the last arc in Vol. 1, and then after next issue, we've got even more resolution, before heading into the big #50 event! Loving where we are so far! Hoping you're all enjoying the ride!

I spent some time last night reading these backissues, and in my haste to gobble them all up (stupid, awesome cliffhanger endings!) and to leave feedback, I realize I haven't said a word about the covers, hich is an injustice, because I really love them! Alex Vasquez is an artist who gets better and better all the time, and his run of villain portraits is so iconic and cool. Well drawn, bright and colorful. I especially love this one, with Evil Star. Nice job, sir!
Onto issue #7! Or is it #47...? Whatever it is, it's one of my favorites so far!
Salakk is proving to be a thoughtful and strategic commander of the GLC--- his gambit against the Red Lantern Corps is proving both smart and dangerous, and I hope it pays off. I certainly can't wait to see it. In his few brief scenes, he is fast becoming a favorite of mine. I hope he gets to shine in the coming Battle of Oa!
Man, this issue was a bloodbath! Evil Star sure lived up to his name, too. His demise (if demise it was!) was gruesome and fitting--- but who was the mysterious entity that was summoned? I have a feeling we'll find out soon enough.
The Red Lanterns calling their CPB was a great scene and very scary (there was even a Lovecraftian tinge to it, too, I sensed).
Hal's confrontation with parallax was tense and very well-played. And I did not expect it to end the way it did! Which is all to your credit, Charlie. You are not needlessly drawing out anything, just setting it up and paying it off, issue after issue.
The Predator/Henshaw is still there in the background, biding his time and poised to cause my havoc. I have a feeling that is coming soon!
Damn it, Charlie, another cliffhanger?!? Sinestro defending Hal against Guy?!? This is going to be good!

Alex Vasquez is an artist who gets better and better all the time, and his run of villain portraits is so iconic and cool. Well drawn, bright and colorful. I especially love this one, with Evil Star. Nice job, sir! Alex has been great, the covers have been fantastic, and he's been very patient with my incessant requests. Onto issue #7! Or is it #47...? Whatever it is, it's one of my favorites so far! Godammit. GODAMMIT. Salaak is great and has been very fun to write. The Council that leads the Green Lantern Corps is going to get more spotlight down the line, but with some of the main characters spread across the universe, it's going to take some time to get them back together. Man, this issue was a bloodbath! Evil Star sure lived up to his name, too. His demise (if demise it was!) was gruesome and fitting--- but who was the mysterious entity that was summoned? I have a feeling we'll find out soon enough. Lots of stuff happening, and even more insight into Evil Star coming in the next two issues. Some very scary insight. The entity that was summoned? Well... I know who it is. The Red Lanterns calling their CPB was a great scene and very scary (there was even a Lovecraftian tinge to it, too, I sensed). Exactly what I'm going for! Just wait until you meet the Red Lantern's Guardian... Hal's confrontation with parallax was tense and very well-played. And I did not expect it to end the way it did! Which is all to your credit, Charlie. You are not needlessly drawing out anything, just setting it up and paying it off, issue after issue. The plan was for Hal to always be have the strength of will to resist the temptation of this "future" version of himself, and the brain aneurysm was actually one of the first things planned for that sequence of events. Hal is our hero. Parallax(es) are our villain. Parallaxi? The Predator/Henshaw is still there in the background, biding his time and poised to cause my havoc. I have a feeling that is coming soon! Very soon. Damn it, Charlie, another cliffhanger?!? Sinestro defending Hal against Guy?!? This is going to be good! Until #50!
