Well, it's finally up! It's an honour to have an actual issue posted on the site. I want to say thank you to Charlie, Joey Jarin, and Mark Boyers. Jarin's cover does a perfect job of capturing my notes on character design! Mark was honest and helpful, smoothing my dense writing and pointing out a few structural concerns that will help me improve pacing in the future. Any remaining errors are all mine, folks! Charlie was instrumental in getting this series off the ground -- he was kind enough to let me rework Young Justice into something of my own, giving me a ton of latitude to develop an ongoing series, while also poking and prodding in the best way. His input on canon, lore, and general ideas are instrumental to this series.
This is just a teaser to help new readers identify the returning members of Young Justice and drop a few hints of what's to come! I'll be putting my own spin on Young Justice while doing my best to integrate DC2's years of rich storytelling. I hope it works!

I liked this. A short, but effective teaser of things to come. It reminded me a lot of TV's Young Justice in a good way, and I hope to see more of its influence going forward. Also, that opening fight scene was a lot of fun too and Joey nailed it with that cover. Pretty sweet all around. Here's looking forward to what comes next.

I thought this was exactly what it needed to be-- a really smart and tight tease for what's to come later in the series. I enjoyed the through-line where you can see Batman's thought processes; him putting Robin in danger (in his own way) and then the decision to start Young Justice with the League's blessing. Having that team give their opinions on the characters rather than showing the teens in action was interesting, because it allows their actions to subvert the in-universe expectation of their behaviour (or not, as the case may be-- I'm looking at you, Impulse!) when the series kicks into gear. I'm looking forward to the first issue, and I'll be interested to see how you differentiate it from #0. Joey, as ever, that cover is a barnstormer, and I'm glad you took the time out of your schedule to do it! Love those designs and I want to see more of them!

Just wanted to (belatedly) offer a thank you for reading and reviewing! UDC, you're totally right! My biggest inspiration for this was the TV series. Before I found DC2, I had a bunch of ideas for Young Justice Season 1 fanfiction, as I wanted to see more of "the team" and less of the new kids in Season 2. This represents a sort of fusion between the original comics and the show.
Thanks for reading! I did manage to keep this short and sweet, which is a rare effort for me! I can't promise the same for the first story. I definitely want to show how the team grows and learns from their mentors and, more importantly, each other.
Next issue will be up this month!
