So much to talk about, so I'm not going to drown the letters page in spoilers. But crikey! Thank you, Susan. I loved this story. It was beautiful, and I know I've not been commenting very issue as it came out, but I have to tell you, this was worth the wait. You're an amazing writer, be it WWQ, JL, SSoV, or... other things... The Spec... Doctor Fate's parting words on the Crimson Avenger were so satisfying, and I can't wait to see if it's followed up on. I needed this issue, Susan. You've kinda made my day.

Awesome work Susie, your work on SSoV and WWQ always puts a smile on my face, and a chill down my spine. Your an excellent writer with a very distinct style.
Glad to see the conclusion, and I'm curious to see what's next!

Thanks for the kind words, guys. It's always good to see feedback, even short spoiler-free bits of it. This whole thing has been an emotional roller-coaster for me. I've gone from loving this project to fretting over it to hating it outright and finally to breathing a sigh of relief when it reached a satisfying end. I think I did pretty good, all around, but I am glad to be done with it. I am also glad to announce that it's not actually done: while I've finished what I have to say about the SSoV, Don Walsh has quite a few things he'd like to add on himself. So within the next month or two, issue #6 of SEVEN SOLDIERS OF VICTORY will be posting, wherein Don will be helping the group settle into the 21st Century. We'll be seeing a few new heroes, some new (and old!) villains, and the sort of twists and turns we've all come to expect from Don's stories. As for myself, I'm moseying back to WWQ pretty soon, but that doesn't mean I'll be leaving all the Soldiers behind me. I've still got a firm grip on Vigilante, and plan on cranking out more stories featuring him as time goes on, both in the modern DC2 and back in the Wild West...he was gone for 20 years, y'know, that gives me a lot of room to play with!

one of the best pieces of work on this site. And this site has a lot of great work. I'll stand up and applaud as well.

this was so amazing! I honestly am at a loss for words. I mean, I knew that certain people weren't really going to die, but everything was written so beautifully that the tension kept mounting page after page.
Brilliant.

Wow, I've never gotten a standing ovation before...thank God you can't see me on the Internet, because I think I'm blushing!
Sorry, Don, but it looks like you've got some high expectations to live up to!

I knew going into this series with the hopes of picking up the reins, that I'd have big shoes to fill. You're one of the two best writers on this site, and it's a daunting task to take over (or fill in) for anything you're working on. I can only hope to have stories half as powerful and strong as you've done for this mini-series. As for the conclusion, talk about kick ASS! Huge and epic, sweeping and dynamic, and still personal and emotional and passionate. Everyone gets their moment to shine, and the action is powerful and hard-hitting. Wonderful craftsmanship in the writing and a beautiful wrap-up. Congratulations on a job well, well done! I live in fear of going next now. LOL Take care Don

Well you can see by my reading the entire mini in a day how much I loved it XD Fantastic work, from start to finish. Huge, sprawling story, everything fit together great and the ending was amazing. I barely know what to say besides gushing through it. All I can say is I have this great "concluded" feeling now, after all that. Wonderful job of wrapping the story up while leaving it open. I'm glad I finally checked this out!

Thanks for the praise, and let me reassure you that you're not the first reader to blow a whole day by getting sucked into my stories. If I recall correctly, somebody once blamed me for lowering their productivity at work! ;D What pleases me best is seeing that it's still getting read: I know that the last issue is only 2 months old, but the fact that you were willing to wade though all 5 issues at once is a great compliment. Just remember to keep that momentum going and jump into Don's take on the team, I think he's got a few surprises in store too!

Susan, these first five issues were amazing. Never would I have thought that I might be interested in these characters, but Susan, you made me enjoy this book sooooooo much, it's hard to describe. There were so many fantastic and funny scenes like the Spider-Man scene in issue one or heartbreaking sad scenes like Daniel at the cemetery - you had me hooked immediately. I'm so sorry that I didn't check these issues earlier. But let me tell you that you've delivered a true masterpiece here. I might someday take the time and draw a few scenes from this mini to put them into my portfolio (if you allow it).

Two years later, and people are still reading it! I love this! And you can only render the scenes if you send me copies of the finished pieces, mi amigo.

And you can only render the scenes if you send me copies of the finished pieces, mi amigo. No way. I'm going to hide them in my folder and will never show them to anyone lol. Of yourse you'll be the first one to see them and criticize me.
