I think it may be time to do a HOTDC2U. I am a large Golden-Age fan and was excited by David's now cancelled? JSA series. I became intrigued by that books reference to General Glory being active in WWI. In the recent Who's Who entry for Midnighht it is stated that he was inspired by the mysterymen of the twenties. A official history or at the very least a miniseries covering say the 1890s to 1935 sounds like something that could be quite intriguing.
The book could actually be broken down into a series of minis. Series One from the big bang through the rise of the Guardians and early space empires. Series Two Earth from pre-history to the fall of Atlantis and the beginning of modern man. I think you probably get the general idea.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I have to admit that your 1890s to 1935 miniseries idea sounds a lot more appealing to me than a history of the DC2 Universe, just because it could have more of a continuing cast than a full history would seem to.
Also, a full history would have to cover the main events, which might not differ a great deal from the DC history, and everybody knows to an extent where the story's going to end. Also, based on the performances of the Wolfman/Perez History of the DC Universe and the Atlantis Chronicles, I wonder how keen readers are for history lessons.
Having said that, I'm not saying that a talented writer couldn't find ways around those problems so if somebody does propose such a title I'll definitely give it my consideration.
In the meantime, watch out for the upcoming Seven Soldiers of Victory mini which will be weaving its way through history at the end of April. Also, around the same time, should I manage to put the finishing touches to it in time, there's a Vandal Savage special in the offing that should touch on events in DC2 history from the dawn of time to the far-flung future.

For the record, a2uton, both WEIRD WESTERN QUARTERLY and LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES feature timelines under their respective Secret Files sections, outlining important events in each title which may differ from "official" DC history. Perhaps the writers of some of DC2's other "historical" books like DANGER TRAIL and JSA might do the same if you pose your question directly to them, either in PM form or in their lettercols.
