Hey, folks, I'm downsizing my collection (again)! Just thought I'd share this with everyone; maybe someone'll see something they like and give my backissues a good home . search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZidlewilder13The auctions started a few hours ago and will run all week. Let me know if you have any questions!

Tell me you have two copies of The Escapists or the TPB. I couldn't imagine parting with that mini myself Lots of interesting and cool stuff on offer there man, I keep thinking about unloading a lot of my collection but I can't bring myself to it...

Tell me you have two copies of The Escapists or the TPB. I couldn't imagine parting with that mini myself Oh, I have the special edition hardcover I'm running out of space to put this stuff--- some of which I haven't looked at in 20+ years, and probably won't for 20 more! Plus I recently made a decision that I am a comic book reader, not a comic book collector (I came to this decision when I started binding my comics into beautiful library-bound hardcovers, in the process destroying their dealer value). The auctions are ending tomorrow, so if anyone is interested now's the time! ;D

Oh, I have the special edition hardcover Oooo, bastard! Limited edition? Plus I recently made a decision that I am a comic book reader, not a comic book collector (I came to this decision when I started binding my comics into beautiful library-bound hardcovers, in the process destroying their dealer value). See, I couldn't do that! There was a thread somewhere on the site earlier in the year about the company that does that, and I didn't like it then, and I don't like it now! I collect comics to collect comics and "desecrating" them like that... heresy! Ha

Hmm...Jamin might be interested in the V comics (we've got a few already). I'd take the Sword of the Atoms, but all I need is the first Special.
Why am I not surprised that we have some of the same tastes in oddball 80's comics? ;D

Definitely going to keep an eye on the Legion issues, always out to fill in holes my own collection, and that's a period with more than a few holes. The JLA bunch is a neat grouping too.
Take care Don

If the "But-It-Now" was $10, those Sandman books would be off your hands instantly ;D

I didn't put it in the description, but I have an extra issue #1 I'm throwing in for nothing, for what it's worth . Ah, it was a golden age of pop culture...!

Take care Don Just a caveat emptor, Don, those issues in particular are not like new or near mint; they're in good condition and can be read and handled with no problem, but I'd hate for you to be disappointed.

I am like you, Dave. As the horrid bank manager from "Time Enough At Last" would say: I am a reader! LOL I want the stories, not the collection. I appreciate the warning, it's very cool of you, but never fear. THe state of my own pile of comics would make a true collector cry. LOL
Take care Don

Hear that, Charlie! (Charlie freaks out when I tell him I've had hundreds of back issues professionally bound ;D. One of these days, I will post some pictures of my binds so folks can see how beautiful they are and that I am not crazy!)

Count me in among the reader not collector crowd.
Anyway Dave, i know it's off topic, but could you post a link to the place you get your stuff bound. I came across an article about it and it was something I've always wanted to do with some of the complete series that i have, since I love Omnibus and Absolute editions.

Oh, don't get me wrong-- Heathen!-- I'm a reader more than a collector, but I just like to read my comics in the form they were printed. I like the way they feel, the way they're presented... I may not like what you do, Dave, but it's your personal preference... it's not like a man has your name, schedule and photo, and is waiting outside the bank... ...
