Ok, right, yeah, the title of this thread is a little misleading, but the three members of the JSA that are going to make an apperance in SMALLVILLE have been revealed and the actors playing them have been announced as well! Geoff Johns has done some brilliant stuff on Smallville so far, and this promises to be baydayse. Anyways, the actors? To put it lightly, they're a doozy--  Brittney Irvin  Michael Shanks -- oh god, oh god, I'm psyched.  Brent Stait I'm psyched. Like... massively. Legion was a brilliant episode, and Michael Shanks as Hawkman? HAWKMAN?! It makes sense on so many levels, but I would never have made the leap. Fantastic news. Link to article |

Michael Shanks as Hawkman is a fantastic choice, but on the other hand he's off the board for the JLA movie then.  I don't think they are going to have their costumes in the episode, but I'd really love to see the helmet of Fate and Michael Shanks with wings  |

Great Caesar's Ghost! I need to catch up on Smallville!
I got the first four seasons on DVD a couple Christmases ago, and we've made it through the third, watching a few episodes on Sunday mornnings... Might have to watch the Legion and Society episodes out of order, though!

Here Dave, let me catch you up.
Clark loves Lana. Lana leaves, Lana comes back. Lana loves Clark. Clark lies to Lana. Lana gets mad, Lana leaves, Lana comes back. Clark still loves Lana. Lana leaves, maybe they get together but there's still something in the way. Lana cries. Lana leaves, Clark is going to move on but Lana comes back again. Lana leaves again, there's some metoer rocks, Lex is up to something, there are more metoer rocks. Lana comes back again. Lex knows more than he lets on...etc.

I thought Fate looked good in the preview, but he does look a little plastic-y there. Hopefully lighting and camera work will go a long way. Looks interesting so far and it's nice to see them sticking a lot closer to the actual costumes with these guys.

This was quite possibly the best thing on television in a long time. I don't think a JSA series would ever work (sadly) but if they tried, Geoff Johns would HAVE to be in creative control of it, at least partly, for it to survive.
