Hey guys, I originally registered for DC2 right when it was starting up like five years ago (I was like the 7th or 8th person to register I think, thanks to an ad posted on the dccomics message boards), and I wrote a Batman arc for Detective Comics #3, 4, and 5. Anyway, how you all been? I've obviously not been around here for a while, and by the looks of things there's an awful lot going on around here! You've pretty much established your own DC library of titles, and it looks really fantastic (the folks at DC should be jealous at how a bunch of fans can go toe-to-toe with them with their own characters).
I'm just wondering about what's gone on in the DC2 in the past few years (particularly from the Bat-family). Are you guys taking major strides away from DCU continuity or mostly keeping to it but with a few fan-approved adjustments. And I saw you guys had a lot of major Crisis-scale events. And what's up with DC3 and how does it differ from DC2?
Anyway, I look forward to reading some stuff from around this site (but don't expect me to catch up with ALL of it haha). And I've also been tossing around another Bat-story which is still in its very, VERY early stages, and I've been wicked busy lately so don't expect it too soon if it does end up happening. Anyway, for now I'm back at the DC2!

Welcome back, DKD!
As to wether we've stayed in stride with official DC or gone our own way, the short answer is, some of each.
DC3 is our Multiverse.

Anyway, for now I'm back at the DC2! Great to have you back around, Nicholas! Kinda feels like the old days! The DC2 never strays that far from what most fans would expect of their favorite DCU comics, but there are differences and divergences, of course. Strangely enough, however, there are also a lot of convergences, as well--- for instance, in the Bat-books, Dick Grayson just ended a year-plus stint as the Caped Crusader after the "death" of Bruce Wayne (in battle with Ra's al Gul, though, not zapped by Darkseid). It would be great to have you do another arc on ' Tec or in Batman! Not sure what the current status is on either title, as neither have posted a new issue in a while. As Jay said, DC3 is the platform for Multiverse stories (Earth-Two, Earth-Five and Earth-S have some significant materiel, all of which is worth a look). As for Crises--- we've had a few (both on and off the pages)! A year after the war with Apokolips, we had the "JL Vs America" Event (which saw a conspiracy of sleeper agents turn the world against Our Heroes, the rise of the Secret Society of Super Villains and a climactic battle with an extraterrestrial foe), Zero Hour (a romp across time/space and the Multiverse) and most recently Nemesis (an edge-of-your-seat apocalyptic adventure that makes Blackest Night look tame). Things are a little slow around here right now, but we are plotting a return to greatness, so I hope you can be part of the renaissance!
