KSM: Yeah, I am trying to get a very hard-lined angular thing while still remaining fluid and "super-hero-y". Oh, and I would love to do a Flash cover....why, as a matter of fact, that very peice has no home... onegemini: wow man, thanks for the compliment!

Yeah, if this is your "new style", it looks pretty sleek and refined. I like it!

This has been bothering me for a long time. How do you get a picture to come out like your deadshot/deathstroke picture where it is just two colors, i.e absolute Black and pitch white as compared to the side picture of Hawkman, which you can see the shades of black and strokes from the marker used to ink it? My pictures always end up as the marker shades, and i was just wondering what technique, maybe in photoshop you used to obtain the black and white quality of the deadshot photo. (i am referring to images on pg. 1). Thanks, by the way your stuff looks really good and the coloring is neat. I like the lightning effect on the Shazam pic.

A few different ways; You can scan the image in as a grayscale, then use levels and brightness/contrast to make it into black and white (in Photoshop). More often than not, you scan it in as line art or in black and white mode at a high DPI (depending on what your scanner allows).

LOL Oh No!!!!!!!!!!! Damn you Marvel, I renounce you! ;D The whole "cartoony/realistic" is exactly what I am trying to acheive these days....guys like Ed McGuinness, Darwyn Cooke, and all sortsa guys who can capture realistic emotions yet keep it fun and dynamic....hopefully someday I will get to that level...
