Did you know that McFarlane hid a Felix the Cat in the artwork of all the Spawn comics he drew? It's cuckoo, I went and found a lot of them. Made my brain hurt.

in marvels there is a frame with the first X men. when you first see them, cyclops' hand casts a shadow over Jeans crotch. when asked if it was intentional ross said that it was but who notices that kinda thing?

It's a small little crowd thing but Ross says that's what it is. Plus all of the other stuff. I really liked the Beatles Mechs.

Didn't know about those bits of trivia. I'm not a big fan of McFarlane, so I can't even check.
As for Alex Ross, I didn't notice the ray's... um... professional misconduct. I do notice, however, the tons and tons of references to Super Friends he puts in (including his current Justice series).

Well, I haven't updated this place in a while. Mostly been doing covers. So, I created a wallpaper for my Windows desktop: The resolution might seem odd to you, but that's because my desktop spans two computer screens. I see this image in panorama.

*brushes away the cobwebs* cough cough... It's been a few months since I checked in on this place. Anyway here's something somewhat new. From Detective Comics #9: I think the figure turned out better in black and white than in colour!

You're right, Doc! It looked good in color but the b&w is striking!

The rough for Shazam#1: And an alternate cover concept for the same issue: A nixed masthead idea: This was an initial rough for Batman on Justice League #0: And lastly, an image I collaged as a joke for the editors here. It ran the circuit, popping up at the weirdest times.

Who's Darkseid's mistress? Please do some 'splaining! During the planning stage for the past DC2 Crisis, we were discussing Darkseid's lineage. There was some confusion between Darkseid and Orion's mothers. I remember seeing a picture of Orion's mother, but I don't think Darkseid's mom has ever been shown. So I reimagined Darkseid's mom.

I think Brandon means "Butterface", as in, "Nice body, but her face...(butterface)"
Personally, I think her hair is slammin. It's the grey face and sloping brow that makes her not so desireable. Then again, Omega beams are sexy...

Yup, that's Darkseid's mom... making a scene wherever she goes. Anyway, new art stuff. Here is the full pose of Captain Marvel from Shazam #2: And the mummy: I knew the mummy would be appearing behind Cap, so there was no reason to draw the legs (CHEAT CHEAT!) Here's the first cover design I came up with: But I scrapped this idea, since it accentuated the fact that I had a dead background. I had thought of drawing a nifty "mad scientist lab" in the back, but I forwent that idea as I decided it would be too distracting. Click here to see the finished cover and read Shazam #2!
