Well, I decided to reopen the Magic shop after I had closed it down after I deleted my old webspace. I've had some time to practise my craft a bit... and I have gotten a bit better. (Stop laughing Mom. ) So, here are some things, I've been up to lately... Please comment... I really could use the criticism. Anyway that's it for now... I picked some of my favourites so please let me know if you like or dislike them. =o)

I'm renowned for my dislike of cover lifts without referencing or acknowledging the previous artist-- I can't place #1 of TR (one of the game covers, maybe? I haven't played Tomb Raider for yearssss), but I know that TR#2 is from #1 of one of the Anita Blake series, and I dislike that I can place it so easily. The fact that you don't acknowledge Harvey Tolibao is a bit irking.
Your work is improving, and I never know what to say when invited to critique-- I'm no artist. But I would suggest you experiment with colours and try using more lines in your work. Features appear flat, and there's no real appearance of people being, well, whole. Lara's hair on #1, for instance... it looks like a block. Hair isn't a block, hair has tone, has strands going askew, you know? An over reliance on colour to convey depth is a bad way to go, but a balance would work tremendously. The shading on #1 works, but by itself, not very well.
Your work is coming along though mate, head and shoulders above your earlier work, and it'll be cool to see your stuff grace the site again. The only way you can get better is by plugging away, after all, and that applies to writers as well as artists.
Hope this helps!
