Question, would you go with the lighter or darker shadows.

Id go with the darker shadows! And I would like to find a way to add the Clark vs. Lightning Lord pic to the interior art of Superboy & the LSH!
It is incredible!
I know how, I just want to run it by admin & you first. Would you mind?

I was going to suggest to the powers that they allow images approved by the writers to be placed as interior art. This would sketches and other rougher pics to be included. It would also keep the artist busy. I think DC2 has a great bullpen and if let loose they would go crazy. This is a pic I did from issue 0 of New Outsiders.

see action comics. we have had interior art, but the deal is that a few months ago we had a very limited amount of artists putting in everything they could to get the coversdone. plus now a good percentage of the cover artists are writing as well and trust me... we are busy enough. col huntress though!

I would not make interior art an assigned thing. Just when you read a story and hit a spot you like just draw it out. I was cleaning and found a page of WW from the Super friends cartoon. I started sketching those out then moved on to some rough layouts by Adam Hughes. In the and I had a page full of DC 2 WW

For the Bat-Family clocktower pic, I persoanlly prefer the lighter version--- I like seeing the detail (and, btw, is that Dick in the Batsuit?).
And the SB&LSH pics are terrific, and should definately be added to the issues (that's a go-ahead from me, Lantern Lad)--- I know I will be adding the Huntress pic to New Outsiders Issue 0!
The interior art idea is fine with me; I would say just let the editor of the title aware that you have a pic for it, and he or she will add it (upon continuity approval).
I love the WW study. Can we use this piece for DC2 Illustrated #2, coming out in May '06?

All of the above is great. I made the pics for DC2, so use as you see fit.
That is Dick and the gang. I see it as the end to the Elseworlds issue 8. It doesn't totally follow the end description, but I could imagine the group looking off into a future beyond Bruce. Of course the clocktower was destroyed at the time, but it felt right.

Very nice looking pic!
Ramon, the ear has been presented as both in and out of the mask so on that point it is acceptable either way.

In the original sketch it was lower on the beltline(which came from a hawkman manip I saw online). I moved it a little higher to keep things from being confused. ;D

It took a really long time to load this (and it doesn't actually seem like it's working, so be patient), but man was it worth it!
Well done, Art! You had me at Hawkman (but the rest was pretty cool, too)!
How long did it take for you to do all that (the pics themselves notwithstanding)? There may be a niche here for something like this (a DC3, if you will), outside of regular continuity to give you and your collaborators creative elbow room (Hawkman in the JL!), kinda what the Timmverse is to the DCU...
Or I could be getting ahead of myself. I do that sometimes. But, like T.E. Lawrence said, the dreamers of the day are dangerous men...

It doesn't take all that long. I started all the pictures, animations, and everything a day or two after we PM about JL. That was only a week ago. With pictures already created I can do one in an hour.
I was thinking, with everyone's permission, of doing one of all the DC2 art. Kind of a music vid about what you all do.
I am also putting the superman pages I did as a video presentation and will post them so you can see what can be done with sequential art.

Hey what message string is complete with a smart a** comment from gl133 I'm looking at a what is the DC video highlighting the covers and stories done. What song would be a DC2 theme is the biggest question I have now.

I recommend Rob Dougan's "Clubbed to Death" or "Clubbed to Death 2". If you don't have them I can send them to you. They have really great beats and it's all music (no singing).

Really cool animation there, Art. Very nice! I'm going to make some more comments on this potential project in the Art Dept.
We could just use the original Justice League theme for the cartoon (the orchestrated one, not the cheesy pseudo-metal one from JLU).

heroicimages.net/toons/downloads.htmlthere are downloads here for the batman/superman adventures from the nineties. i reccomend that one or the one from the superman show. i like the first because it is all moody like the elfman one then all bright like the walker superman intro. the only problem is they are each like one minute long.
