Since Riz won the last one here's his idea for this Challenge... (taken in part from his original message)
"Create your own Titan"
Design his/her costume and write some details about the character:
Powers, name, age, ...
If he/she is a cool character, then maybe he/she could have a one-shot in TT after the Crisis (!?)
So with some back and forth with our esteemed Editor-In-Chief and Mark, the editor of that title, we've come up with the following guidelines for this contest: ---
Make the New Teen Titan! Design or revamp a character in the style of Teen Titans. You can take several approaches to this.
-Use an existing 'sidekick' or create a sidekick to fit into the Titans team. Like the recent addition of Kid Devil to the DC Titans team, come up with an as yet unused sidekick and draw a cool pic of said character or make a new sidekick. For example, Teen Lantern! You can't use that one because Scott would hunt me down but you get the idea. Say that Booster Gold's new sidekick, Bling, showed up. Or, say, the Kid Metamorpho. Is there a Catgirl? You get the idea. Some type of legacy type character but in the youngster mode. -Revamp a Titan. Pick up an existing Titan that hasn't seen much play recently and make it work. For example, until the great reimagining of Bumblebee on the TEEN TITANS cartoon, who really liked the character? But now, what a great design! So what can you do with Pantha to make her cool for example? What about Joker's Daughter? Hawk and Dove? Jericho?
-Make a whole new Titan. Just make one up. Make sure it fits in with the general tone of the book and make it cool. Keep in mind though that this will be a tougher sell than the other two approaches as there will be little to no recognition factor.
That's it. Draw'em up and submit them here and we'll run a poll in a few weeks for a winner. The winning character will appear in a future Teen Titans issue. Please keep in mind, this type of thing can be a little awkward for the creative team, so it will be completely up to the Writer and Editor how the character is utilized. It may be a small cameo, a single issue or one-shot, or if the character strikes a chord with them it could be an extended run. Lots of variables there, but please know the true fun of this will be in the Challenge itself, so let's have fun!

Real name: Yu Age: 14 Eyes: brown Hair: black Powers: Yu has the ability to control the five Chinese elements fire, earth, metal, water and wood. He's not able to create it by his powers, but i.e. if there is a lake he can use this water and form it or change it into fog... You understand what I mean Backgroundstory: Yu was found lying outside of an Shaolin temple as a baby. His master realised very quickly that Yu had great powers and that these powers could become very dangerous. So he tatooed five magical Chinese symbols on the left arm of Yu, that would compensate his powers. Yu learned to control these five elements. Suddenly his master dissapeared and Yu went for a journey to find him. That's when he met the Titans... ;D

Hey, Did you see what Huntress is wearing these days? Speedy II/ Arrowette has suit of armor on compared to her. Also Black Canary needs to have some influence over her.
Borize, Cool design reminds me of that air bender kid, just older and cooler.

Finally moving into his father's footsteps, plastique became a superhero when he was forced to leave home after his mother was shot in cross fire during a gang war. Seeing the error of his rebelious ways the son of the famed Plastic Man joined the Teen Titans in an attempt to make a postive difference. Although around the age of sixteen he still appears in a body of a younger child, a body he had when his life was at its full. He is a staggeringly better shape-shifter than his father and although can change into almost any shape, person or creature at will he generally just grows into a larger version of himself as well as a few chose monster he once doodled on some paper. Its not only his powers that differ from his father's; his sense of humour does too: He hasn't really got one other than black humour.

If it's okay with everyone, the winner could have a cameo in one of the post-Crisis TT issues.

Great stuff so far guys! Art is there any way I could get you to scale down the one Arrowette pic so it doesn't stretch the page so much? That would make for easier reading. I know I've had more than one idea for this so I'll say that if you want to do several entries that's cool, but only one entry can be used for the contest. So you can post as many as you want, and then from how pleased you are with the finished products and maybe judging from the reactions of other posters you will need to make it known before the contest ends either in post or PM which you wish to make your official entry. (wow, that was a long sentence)

I have an idea myself, but I'm a better writer than an artist. Not to mention I don't have a scanner that works. I think you'd like him, though.

Yep. I came on to specifically address this issue. I realized this weekend while talking to Ramon we never set an end date for this one. I think busy schedules have gotten the better of this Challenge but I'm trying to play catch-up on my vacation this week. So. This Challenge ends on Friday at Noon (central time). I know several artists (myself included) commented on wanting to make a submission so if you have an entry go ahead and get it in as soon as possible! Can't wait to see what pops up. There's a lot of room to stretch your creative muscles on this one so don't miss out!

Okay, here it is finally. FlamebirdName: Carrie Kelly History: A one-time gymnast-in-training with Olympic hopes, Carrie idolized the young hero, Robin. Close in age and abilities, Carrie watched the hero grow and eventually adopt the identity of Nightwing. Never realizing her Olympic dreams due to personal tragedy, Carrie has taken on her own heroic identity in hopes of getting closer to her hero and role model. Now striking out on her own adventures, she has approached the Teen Titans to get into Nightwing's circle of friends, but is she in over her head? What dark secret does she hide? And what terrible fate awaits her? Abilities: Carrie is close in atheletic ability to Nightwing, having studied and learned all of his acrobatic moves. She has a variety of weapons also similar to the hero's but with some that can catch fire for visual effect.

Very cool, Brandon!
A nod to Titans tradition while moving the character forward at the same time...
It's been a long time since I've seen an original Herren piece (other than Aquaman): does my eyes good!

Thanks, D! Yeah, sorta a blend of three different concepts there but I think it makes for something interesting. The idea is an update of a color sketch I did many years ago... Ideas that didn't make it were Ghost Girl (a current day version of Legion's Phantom Girl) and an update of Star Spangled Kid.

The Woodchucker... Not a new drawing, but I am currently in the works of creating a comic strip for him and figured that he was cool enough to post again. Real Name: Adam Pine (now that I look at it, it sort of says "a dam* pine"...I like it). Age: 18 (legally not a teen anymore, is there an age limit of being a titan?) Powers: flight, increased strength, stamina, quickness and all that good stuff. Uncanny (wait, that adjective is already taken)...An unnatural ability to carve and, well, chuck wood, whether it be pine, oak, cherry, or even redwood (well maybe not that big). Background: Adam was just a normal kid until a intergalactic refugee crash landed in his backyard. This refugee was of course, Hoover the Space Bunny (haven't posted him yet), who had escaped from his home planet, where King Ronnie had enslaved the race of bunnies that lived on the planet. How Was King Ronnie able to do this ( that will be explained hopefully in my upcoming comic strip, which i do not want to spoil). Anyways, in the back of the ship that Hoover crash landed into Adam's backyard, was the costume he currently wears which gives him great power. Now, he must fight off all the weird creatures that seem to be gravitating to his small town of Midwest, OH. Sounds like a blast right? well it should. I am looking to get a scanner within the week or so, so be on the lookout.

Ha, very cool, Thumper!
I think that most of the Titans are around 18 as they are college aged.

okay then people, times up. i will post the poll shortly here is mine. History: As a young boy growing up in London, David was diagnosed with a fatal cancer. In a last ditch effort to save their son, they allowed him to be taken into the lab of the deranged scientist who called himself Lord Chaos. Chaos fused David's blood with that of blood found in a vile hidden inside a temple located outside of Romania who he beleived belonged to the infamous Vlad the Impaler. Soon after, David made a miraculous recovery but was also transformed into a vampire as a result of the expiriment. Fearing the boys parents would want to bring his expirements to the attention of the media, Chaos handed them the corpse of another child with a face that resembled Davids. Chaos allowed the boy to stay with him untill one night he feared David wanted his blood and he cast him into the streets. David found refuge with a gang of misfits caught up in the fantasy of being vampires and with David's deformed face, sharp fangs, and pale skin, they beleived him to be a descendant of their worshipped idol, Dracula. Now that he had a home, the boys renamed David, Dagon and gave the boy their own clothes and adopted him into their life style. Now at the age of 18, David has decided to embark on a journey to New York where he beleives his parents are living to find out why he is, the way he is. Abilities- Dagon has enhanced senses, stength, and speed. David also has the ability to transform at will into a batlike creature that allows him to fly and a white mist but only for a short time which is why he rides a customized motorcycle given to him by the London gang. David does have an attraction to blood or a weakness to sunlight because he does have human blood still inside him.
