I hate to do this (as this isn't mine or her thread) but since people are having trouble opening it; Note: The lens flare in this ISN'T a filter... I actually made it. The lens flare filter looked too real, in comparison to the image. So I made it graphic. Um...the work is still not working. p.s. Thanks for the kind advise...points well taken and will be used for future works. Promise. ;D

Um...the work is still not working. Have no idea. Checked it on 3 different browsers, and had one friend check it on his own computer. Worked each time. Don't know what to tell you.

Another try at Green Lantern giving the figure more mass.... I'm not sure if he needed "more mass." What do you actually mean by that? Making him buffer? More muscular? Your first one had a fine body-type. I liked the pose better on the first one. Here, he seems like he's out of control in freefall, or underwater.

Okay... I think I got it. Apparently Mozilla and FireFox WERE having trouble loading the image (though IE and Safari had no problems). Resaved it twice with the same results... don't know why it happened. So I tried something else (so bassackwards was my way of resaving it this time, I won't bother with the explanation). But here we go;

Yeah...tried to make him bulkier. I admit the pose seems awkward ince I was planning on finishing it with Photoshop (yep, floating in deep space...lost)
I like her rendition of Supergirl. It's being sexy without making her too much of a cheesecake.

Yep, that did the trick. I'm using Firefox so that must have been the problem. Very nice pic! I agree with Charlie, the panty shot is a little gratuitous but then again it is an anime styled image so anything goes right? Otherwise, great pencilwork and coloring there. And nice artwork, aesantos! The Destiny pic is very cool and I like the Flash work too. Coloring over pencils can be tricky in Photoshop but I think you've gotten a nice effect here.

For Flash, I used a layering technique with Photoshop to get that effect. Whenever I feel lazy though, I just use channels. I used an existing photo then combine it with different effects and filters to achieve the final result.

Ha. I never use channels or masks. I'm not even sure how they work. I mostly work on layers. Photoshop is crazy like that, there are a dozen different ways to approach and render any technique.

I started with the use of layers before but after reading several books on comics coloring (and watching the Tutorial CD of Brian Haberlin), I tried using channels. It is somewhat faster to use and it only consumes a little space of your hard drive. ;D

After a semester, most of my students now collect D.C. comics (with 1 collecting Marvel just to be different ;D). I also try to incorporate my hobby with the subject(s) I am teaching.
