Okie doke, fellow artists. The Art Challenge for the month is Evil Twin! Draw an Evil Twin of one of your favorite DC characters. Actually a lot of things fall under this category: Reverse, Doppleganger, Earth-2, etc. Doesn't matter what approach you take as long as it is obviously an evil version of one of the DC stable of characters. For instance, if you did the Green Lantern, you could make Reverse Green Lantern (more or less an evil inversion) or your version of the Earth-2 Green Lantern (or Earth-3 or Crime Syndicate or whatever it's called now), or just evil Doppleganger in general (like an evil hologram or magical creation or clone or etcetera). And if you are ambitious you can even do a whole evil team! OR, you could get kooky with it and make the Reverse of a villain and say make a Good Twin of the Joker or Brainiac or any other villian you would like to see come over to the Light Side.  So, there's the challenge. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with! |

Awesome! Very cool pics guys. The Moon Man is a very cool concept Charlie. I'd love to see this guy fight Jack Knight! And Evil Batman is supernice! Very well done, Thumper. Your style is distinct and this piece is very visually striking.

Alright, finally my pic for this month's challenge... The TERROR TEENS!  I did an Earth-3 (Crime Syndicate Earth, Mirror Earth, whatever!) version of the Teen Titans for my evil twins. The characters: Blackfire: Exiled from her peaceful world, Tamaran, Koriander has come to Earth to find allies in her quest for conquest and destruction. White Raven: The tortured sorceress who tries to be evil despite her inherent nature of goodness. Olympia: The product of a terrible pact between the Queen of the Amazons and the God of War, the young warrioress has come to Man's World to spread her message of war and chaos. Reverse Kid Flash: A terrible teen speedster who has travelled into the past to destroy the Earth's Future. Red X: The young thief who revels in being the ultimate "bad boy" Tell: The mischeivous archer who models himself after William Burroughs in his appetite for weapons, dangerous games, and other forms of decadence. --- ;D I originally didn't set out to do a whole team but it was too fun of an idea to pass up! |

Holy Hannah, those Terror Titans rock (White Raven is my favorite)! If I were staying on the Titans after issue 2, I would use them in a storyline (apprentice, hint, hint...!).
Evil Batman is another one that could be viable as a real villain for our hero; maybe have to change the name, though--- could be the DC2 Manbat...? Kirk Langstrom makes a deal with the devil for revenge against Batman for some imagined wrong...? I really hope a future 'Tec writer picks up on this...

Why not? Manbat could be a neat character! I kinda had half an idea to do a future 'Tec arc called "Bat Out of Hell!" using the character...

But I had a plan that uses the original concept for the guy (mixed with the wicked coolness of the first BAS episode... On Leather Wings) and just linking him to hell isn't even necessary!

Thanks guys! This was a fun pic to do. IW - If anyone wants to use this idea in a TT story I'd be all for it. Ramon - I didn't actually increase anything, it's just that you can actually see Wonder Girl/Olympia's cleavage in this pic. Aw crap, I forgot to add her tattoo! HoM - I like both ideas, just make'em separate ideas. Manbat is the serum guy, and Hellbat is some evil Neron creation or somesuch. ;D |
