not the strongest opening for this cross over event, but some clever moments with Jimmy and Perry. Also, nice reveal at the end.

Ahhh the gold old Royal Flush Gang! They had been quiet for rather too long...
But of course, there's clearly more going on.
Connor's interaction with Maggie and also with Superman was quite amusing.

I knew what was coming thanks to talks with both Brian and Roy, but I have to say, this issue worked really well for me. Superman & Green Arrow, together for the first time! Not very often you get to say that. Loved Jimmy and Perry's defiance in the face of one hell of a beating, and I loved the multiple strands coming together as Jimmy was rescued. I've always been a fan of those kind of culminating narratives. To be honest, even though I knew the Royal Flush Gang was behind this all, it didn't click with me that Ace and Jack were members until Superman/Connor said so. I thought they were just their names! So you fooled me. I enjoyed the closing moments with them flying to Las Vegas, and I'll be following this story into Green Arrow as soon as it comes out. Bravo guys, you did really well

Whoo, only got around to commenting on this now, sorry guys!
While I don't feel this is as strong as last issue's outing, it's still an interesting read My biggest problem is probably that Superman felt a little bit like a guest star in his own book here, but fortunately the other characters are interesting enough to make up for it. I also felt that the writing style here is a bit sparse in detail and descriptions, opting for a more dialogue heavy approach which makes it faster to read but sacrifices, in my mind, some weight in the actual storytelling.
Still, there were some moments here that really shone- Perry and Jimmy near the start in particular, and Conner to the rescue! I do like that between reactions to the Batman events last issue and this, The DC2's greatest super hero has a firm connection to the events going on in the DC2, but you're not losing focus and are managing to seamlessly weave in those outer threads with an ongoing narrative.
3 stars because I preferred last issue and feel there were some flaws in the writing style, but I'm still eager to see where you're taking Supes and all his supporting cast!
