Well, I would just like to say that both Craig and John have both been troopers on this (ever expanding) arc, and been terrific sports to put up with me and my Hawkman fandom! They've been with me every step of the way on this project, and Craig deserves a special mention, really delivering on those covers (he accepted an assignment that went from him doing one new piece to three)!
Thanks, fellas!

This was an amazing piece! I was surprised that the Lion-Mane act ended so quickly, and we went straight into another direction, with Helene Astar! Uh Oh! I really loved all the stuff in here, it gives a really cool crash course into the DC2 Hawkman... Or should that be Hawkmen? I love Kendra (Bit irritating, but I understand shes trying to get a rise out of Katar, so it makes me smile) and Katar grows on me every issue. Bravo!

I really loved all the stuff in here, it gives a really cool crash course into the DC2 Hawkman... Or should that be Hawk men? Thanks, Charlie, glad you are enjoying it! The Lion-Mane stuff, while originally envisioned to be a significant portion of the story, was never intended to be the main focus. Katar's quest for his father (and Hawkwoman!) was always going to take him to two specific locations--- Feithera and Project Fenris HQ, but originally in reverse order! Certain plot considerations (getting Kendra into the story earlier), however, dictated, that I switch them around, and thus the Feithera and Lion-Mane section grew proportionally, and I had to jam the Project Fenris stuff into the last issue and a half . Glad you liked your crash course in DC2 Hawkmanity (I coined a word!), and there is more to come. Readers of Infinity, Inc should recognize Helene Astar, as well--- but I have added a certain DC2 twist to her, as well, and there are more revelations about here coming in the conclusion in two weeks! I've worked hard to create distinct personalities for Katar and Kendra, and believe me, he finds her as irritating as you do (two heirs to the legacies of the Hawks, each one feeling they have the most right to it)--- but how long before he finds her irresitible, as well? As for Hawk men... Well, you'll just have to check back for the conclusion in two weeks! ;D

Once again I'm blown away by not only one heck of a fight scene, and honestly, that scene kept me on the edge of my seat to the very end. I actually found myself holding my breath a couple of times, but also the history that I learned about the Hawkman mythos. I had no idea on a lot of the legacy of the name Hawkman, itself. Of course, it was done with such ease and flowed so well, it could only have been written by David. Five stars on this one. And I really can't wait to see what ends up happening to Kendra. Of course I'm still waiting to see where the other two are, too! ;D

Of course he's got the hots for Kendra! I would, too.
As for Helene Astar, I have no idea what her story is, beyond the obvious femme fatale connotations and the mention of her father. So I look forward to finding out!

Craig deserves a special mention, really delivering on those covers (he accepted an assignment that went from him doing one new piece to three)! I wanna say these are probably three of my favorite covers Craigs done for the site... I mean, the coloring on them that you did Craig, WOW. AMAZING! UNBELIEVEABLE EVEN! It's like nothing I've seen you color before, amazing job. ;D

<Ahem!> I would also like to thank our brilliant Art Director and Assistant Art Director for his amazing weekly (and all-too-often-unsung) contribution to the covers, including the vital role he played in this arc...

ARGH! This story's never gonna end! I can't decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing! Five stars, David, 'cause you deserve it.

ARGH! This story's never gonna end! I can't decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing! I think if I had to do this over, I would have made this a mini-series, instead of an All-Star Comics arc--- believe it or not, I have enough material for at least one more issue (and probably closer to two). Good news is, I can get to that stuff in a future project (because it's too good to waste). That being said, this arc definately ends next issue. (I'm 90% sure...!) Glad you enjoyed it, Susie!
