I loved this issue! The characterisation was spot on, Scott, you really outdid yourself with this and Ramon, you've really improved! This was some of the best stuff of yours I've read! Love the cover and I couldn't HELP but give this baby five stars! I feel robbed! It should be like... seven at the most!

This issue was awesome!
I like the origin of Parallax here. Very different from the comics. I'm glad that you didn't have Hal go nuts and take the name like he did in the comics pre-Green Lantern: Rebirth. God, was I glad that Geoff Johns retconned it.
The cover art was also sweet. I like Ion's design here.
And speaking of Lantern designs, personally, I am not the biggest fan of Hal's new DC2 costume. When I saw it, I noticed the white circle in the center, and I thought the artist screwed up and forgot to draw in the Lantern insignia, until I noticed the lines on the green part of the costume. I think if you have an emblem on your costume, it should be easy to spot.
And it was cool to see Hal and Kyle battle Parallax. I can't wait for the next issue.

Well I'm about to break my own rule here, which is to put my personal comments out there on a title that I help edit. But first, the cover was awesome. Second, Scott, you're stuff was great, but then again, it always is. Ramon, I was more then impressed with this. I do feel that every writer has a voice for at least one character and you've just proven that Kyle is that character for you. Kudos my man!

Yeah, clever to get the Hal-as-Parallax thing out of the way in such short order. The origin of Parallax was cool too.
Now I do beleive we need to find Scully--uh, I mean a certain DEO agent....
Kyle is SUCH a fanboy. He loves the live he's only begun to live. So many heroes forget that.

Excellent issue. This one had it all; a "final" showdown with Parallax, Hal and Kyle working together, and a sort of "reset button" for the characters.
I liked that Kyle looked up to and was thrilled to meet "old man" Hal. Great characterization all around. Each of the two writer's sections flowed together nicely.
Can't wait to see what's next for Hal, and does this mean Ion is going to begin? Great job.

I wanna start off by saying thanks to those of you that read and liked the Kyle portions of the issue. charlie- thanks man l1071e- i like the kyle design too! seeing is how i designed it and all. as for the other one, that would be scott who did that and i personally think its kinda suave... not as suave as kyles but he has a toned down crab mask and hal can't really compete with that now can he? starlord- i'm sorry i made you break a rule... waitaminute... no i'm not. ;D kyle has always been my boy, its a known fact, and if you think that he's my voice awesome because it woulda really sucked to hear that i totally wrote him out of character the WHOLE time... arcalian- fanboy? kyle? psh... never. although i did think he came off sounding like an over exited little puppy in the end there batarang- it does indeed mean ion is going to finally begin, we just are not QUITE sure on the date quite yet... soon though, it'll be pretty soon.

This issue was perfect. Kyle Rayner AND Hal Jordan taking on Parallax! You don't get better than this unless Namor and Black Adam decide to partner up. Keep up the amazing work both of you!

I'm glad everyone has enjoyed the issue!
Charlie: Thanks, if you couldn't tell, the story has been building up to this point for quite some time now (issue #0, of the first series, to be exact)
1701e: The new costume is something I'm still toying with... if you haven't noticed it's only been on 1 GL cover so far and the banner (maybe an issue of JL also, but I can't remember). The cool thing about the GL costume is that it is a fluid extension of the ring and Hal's will. You never know what may happen in the future.
Brian: You just keep on posting, I'd be disappointed if I didn't get feedback from you!
Arcalian: Glad you liked it. Chloe probably won't be in Hal's life for a while. She went snooping through his personal things and, as a result, helped cause this whole mess! Hal likes her a lot, but he may feel the need to play the field a bit more... and there's always Carol, and maybe another lady somewhere down the road... yeah, dude's a player.
Batarang: ION is coming... don't know when or where, but it is...
Ramon: You did great on this issue! Now what do you mean over-excited puppy? What would you be like if you just discovered you had those abilities? What would any teenager do? Imagine the possibilities & get back with me.
Fastest Man: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! Writing GL has been a fun ride over the last 14 months!
That being said, this issue marks my last for a while! I will hang on board as a co-editor (some say editor, some say control freak, I don't know... ask Brian and Ramon) on the next arc, then I'll be back for more emerald fun!
I can finally relax & do my homework now!

I totally freaked when I saw the cover in the Art Dept. Hal as Parallax?!?!? You went and did what I thought DC2 would never do! Wow! This was great! A tag-team dream, both in writing and characters. While I lean more towards Hal than Kyle, I'll check out the first few issues of ION. Paralllax...WOW! ;D

Glad you liked it Susan!
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the fact that Parallax now lives inside of Kyle... Not even a 'I wonder if that could lead to something..."
I'm just saying...

It was a good read, but somehow it didn't feel right for me. I don't know why, but this issue wasn't as good as the last two...sorry

Not having read previous issues, I wasn't totally sure of everything that was going on, and that possibly impaired the rating I ended up giving this issue. Having said that, I thought the first person storytelling was great, and the joint writing was ridiculously seamless. Also, really liked the cover.

I know you've never read an issue before, so I find it funny that you pick part 3 of a 3 issue arc to start.
Otherwise, thanks!

Hey, you never know what is in the future for our emerald gladiators (but no... Kyle will not have graying temples... at least until his mid-forties).

Great issue, Scott and Ramon. Actually, I felt this was some of Ramon's best writing yet (he really made Kyle come alive as a character in his first appearance--- not counting his brief Crisis cameo).
I thought that the re-imagining of Parallax was an inspired bit of business (and a nice nod to DCU mistakes when Hal imagines himself in his shoes!), and while I thought he was taken down a bit too easily, it's obvious we haven't seen the last of him (at least Kyle hasn't)!
Too bad that Hal is going to break it off with Chloe, but it is about time we see more of Carol, too. And as Scott is on hiatus for a while, I am interested in seeing where Hal goes from here.
... And maybe we might see Chloe in a future DC2 summer crossover event...?
