Thought this was a fantastically strong issue. Loved the framing of the poker night juxtaposed with Hector Hammond's crazy emergence. Loved Superman's talk with Hal, and generally, just loved this issue. Green Lantern is as strong as ever, and in safe hands with Mr Daniel. I think you also put a lot of emotion into the toast to Batman, which shows the loss of a good friend that these men have experienced.

I'm enjoying this title more and more with every issue. The poker game was excellent, and I, too, loved the nod to Batman. Actually I love how so many writers have acknowledged this part of DC2 continuity.
What really tickels me, though, is the fact that Chloe's pregnancy is being used so well. I can't speak for David, but just knowing that this storyline has been grabbed and is being run with, makes me happy that we put it in the crisis last year.
All in all, I couldn't find anything to pick on this. It was solid. Fun and solid. Just what you want in a comic book. And the cover is impressive as well.
5 stars!

If you guys like Green Lantern on DC2, you are going to LOVE House Of Mystery's new project, issue 0 of which occurs next week. [/shameless plug]

I'm enjoying this title more and more with every issue. The poker game was excellent, and I, too, loved the nod to Batman. Actually I love how so many writers have acknowledged this part of DC2 continuity. The Batman death has reverberated through the whole DC2, and (as a fan), I have loved the mentions in other titles, and wanted to have my own moment. Thanks for that, as I am still feeling out how best to write the whole situation. I can promise I won't forget this storyline, and it will be a sticking point for a while now... While I can't take any credit for the cover, thanks for the kind words. This has been the first issue of my run that I haven't cringed while reading on the site, and I hope that I can keep things fun and solid here in the GL wing of the DC2 Universe.

This was a good issue, fun in places, exciting in others, the riot and Hector being a great double-whammy for Hal to face off with. Poker was fun, everyone sparkled with their own personalities. This was a very good job, Daniel, good work. Also, as a note to all the people who have already read Green Lantern, there's been a small adjustment. After some checking, we made a correction: Blackgate was batman's prison, so for Coast City, it's Draper Penitentiary, "Draper's Pen" to the locals. Thank you for your attention. Take care Don

I've plugged HOM's upcoming mini before, but if you are reading this book, then you're going to LOVE what he's got planned. I know I'm gushing, but I can't stress enough how kick-ass this is going to be!!!

Another great issue in a series that continues to get better and better!
Lots of nice touches in this issue: the poker game was fun, the nod to Batman continuity, and the Superman cameo. And now that Hector Hammond has completed his journey to the dark side, I'm looking forward to the next issue more than ever.
One tiny criticism: I felt that Ollie and Barry--- and even Clark--- came off better than Hal did in this issue. Each one of them had some really nice character moments, but Hal himself never really came alive for me here. There was some glimmers when he started talking about his father's jacket, but otherwise, the reader seems to be experiencing the lead through the eyes of others (Ollie, Clark, Carol). Just something to think about!
Loved the cover! Very clever, Jay Z! You are becomming quite the pro!

Another great issue in a series that continues to get better and better! You are going to make a dark man blush.... Thanks! I was a fan of DC2 before I even dreamed about writing one of my favorite heroes (huge Flash nut too...if there's ever an opening...), and one of the things I loved in the early DC2 was the continuity between titles. I have been trying to bring back that 'shared universe feel'. At the same time, I want GL to have it's own unique universe. That is kind of intentional. The idea (if it works) is to have the reader develop a picture of Hal through his friends. They say the best way to know someone is talk to the people who know him best! That said, I will be giving my interpretation of Hal Jordan in upcoming issues...you'll see EXACTLY what I think of him! Didn't you hear? I'm to thank for the kick ass cover Thanks for reading, and stay tuned...things are bound to get very interesting in the next year or so (see new addition to the sig...)

Well, this came off as a very strong issue all round. I love the concept of it in general, reminds me of the old X-Men baseball games, and in general there's something very cool about the idea of our favourite heroes hanging out together. A nice use of continuity with the Batman reference, and in general, it was very fun to read the guy-talk between them.
Of course, Hammond was particularly creepy (I used to dislike him but he's grown on me lately as a bad guy) and his scenes came across really well. On a more personal note, I dug the characterisation of Barry here- while there's a risk of people playing him as two much of a stick in the mud or a boring scientist, I think you nailed the balance between that and his more self-aware side perfectly. My only real criticism herew is that the plot definitely did come off as a little slow in parts, and there wasn't too much advancement of major plot threads this issue- but it was clearly set-up, so that's forgivable!
Good issue, I'll be back for more.

A nice use of continuity with the Batman reference, and in general, it was very fun to read the guy-talk between them. Thanks alot; I got the idea from, indeed, one of those downtime issues of X-Men. Plus, if my friends and I had superpowers and crazy lives, we'd try to think of a way to catch up. Of course, if I had superpowers, I'd rule the world, but that's neither here nor there. This is the only time I'll ever thank someone for saying what I do is creepy.... I'm a huge Flash fan as well as a GL head, so you can trust that any time someone wearing the scarlet and lightning shows up, they'll be treated like family. I realize how slow this issue was, and I promise with 15 thru about 25, we're red lining, as things are about to pick up. Hold on tight. Tell all your friends!

That may be one of the smartest things I have heard anyone say. I love the fact that GL can function on his own and still have his duties with everyone else. It helps tie things together, and also gives a good look into a persons life where they can be comfortable in knowing that they can let their guard down a little and enjoy life.
Like the part where Oliver made the point about not talking about Hal's ring. Its sort of like going out with co workers and making a promise to talk about anything but work
Good work and thank you

I couldn't agree more-- Dan had a great grasp of these characters and it was a shame to see him leave the book. I know a lot of his hard work on the title inspired me to drive forward with my run, and I still reference half the events that took place during his tenure in mine!
Glad you enjoyed the issue, sir!
