I know this is hot on the heels of Issue 0, but let me know what you thought, folks.

Great story, David! I loved reading this and was impressed at how well everything was presented as far as being historically convincing. Impressive range of wording and all the story elements worked just right. A very well crafted tale!

Well David you are the first person I have ever met that has gotten me to take an interest in Hawkman at all. Great story telling from start to finish, and I loved the art on this too!
Great job for all of you.

Even better than issue one. I'm looking forward to next month's release.

It's like Indy Jones with superheroes...I love it!

I thought that too, Susan. At times it reminded me of a few other movies but mostly Indiana Jones and Casablanca.

Yeah, you're right about Casablanca -- it's all the talk about the war coming and Nazis hanging out, plus Carter and Shiera have this "Rick and Ilsa" vibe going, forbidden love and all that.

All I can say is...somebody at DC needs to hand over the reigns of monthly writer on Hawkman and give them to you. Seriously, this is in Geoff Johns league here. Awesome.

I agree completely. As great as I think David's other work is here, you can really see his love for the character here.
