This is actually a horrible injustice, and an unforgivable oversight! Our new staff artist Jamie Rimmer provided the magnificent endpiece homage to JLA #21--- which I think we can all agree was a hell of a way to make your DC2 debut! My sincerest apologies, sir, for not updating the credits on this issue (something which will be rectified by the time this is read). You are a joy to work with, came up with a fantastic pic, and rightly deserve to have your name on this issue.

Ahh so that's what you meant by consequences!
Sky Pirate and Reverse Flash should compare notes.
Power Girl! Yey!!!!!
I'm mildly surprised that Alan Scott didn't get the chair but that's a minor quibble.
And lots of intrique with Sandman!
Good stuff all around!

Ahh so that's what you meant by consequences! Yep! This is a big issue for sure. As I promised, the team is not the same after this one! LOL! Coincidence that two villains in the same month should be from the future... They should form a support group. This is not the end of the Sky Pirate's story--- in fact, consider this the shot across the JSA's bow--- and there are even stranger revelations to come! We set this up a couple issues ago, and I am very excited to be bringing Hank and PG into the JSA fold, where they belong! Alan and Jay are certainly the elder statesmen of the team, but it's hard to compete with the Wisdom of Solomon (and, of course, Billy's pedigree is impeccable--- his dad was to the Golden Age team what Superman is to tje Justice League, even moreso, as Cap, Sr was the first). Plus Alan has enough on his plate as a U.S. Senator. The menace of the Fourth Reich will continue to grow, but at least Wes now has some help in his investigation. Thanks very much for reading, Jay, and for the feedback!

Another outstanding and extremely taught issue. Wes' adventure has such an old fashioned feel to it (plus a bit of Indiana Jones) that I can't help but hope that we get to see more of this story in the near future, and much more of Sandman as well. Excellent twist with the Sky Pirate! I'm glad this is just the beginning for him because you've got me more than intrigued with this character. The new chairman is a perfect choice, although I have to admit that I, too, was a shocked that is wasn't Jay or Alan. However, the decision is logical. So what happens to all of the new kids on the block? Are we seeing the seeds of a new title... hmmm...? As I've noted from the very first moment I started here, David has such an extremely superb handle on these golden aged characters that each issue is a joy to read. Not only on the characters themselves, but on the rhythm of the book. The main story ends, the subplot continues to build, and we are left with the beginning of a new adventure. That is a master craftsman at his best. Add a terrific cover and you've got another 5 star issue.

Wes' adventure has such an old fashioned feel to it (plus a bit of Indiana Jones) that I can't help but hope that we get to see more of this story in the near future, and much more of Sandman as well. Thanks, Brian! While this subplot takes place in the present day (obviously) it is very much a Golden Age-type adventure. And there is much more to come! The rise of the Fourth Reich has just begun! Glad you enjoyed my revamp of the Sky Pirate! But I want to give credit where credit is due: I am very much inspired by what my art-partners bring to the table, and Alex's beautiful rendering of this classic character really brought him to life for me. Just seemed to make sense to me! Never been done before, and it is an interpretation particularly unique to the DC2... And as the return of his own title may be in some doubt, fans can get there Cap fix here! Possibly... I'm not sure if I see the point in a seperate book, so for now, look for Young All-Stars as a back-up feature in this title! Glad you're enjoying the various bubbling plotlines, B! And you're right: next issue does begin a big new adventure, crossing over to DC3's Earth Two, in the grand tradition of those Silver Age JLA/JSA crossovers of old--- except the roles are a bit reversed here! Be here next month for "Crisis on Two Earths!" Isn't that cover awesome? And how about that Sandman pin-up? Alex has been out-doing himself on this title, and I am so proud to be working with him! Between him and Jamie, this book is looking gorgeous! Thanks for the feedback, Brian, and for your loyal readership!

Hey guys! Sorry I took so long to respond. Real life, and all that stuff. Artemis: Didn't help that nerdo here picked up Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire on eBay.
Icicle: I dunno. Those games are kinda fun.
Artemis: Whose side are you on?!
Icicle: ...I'm going on the couch, aren't I?Quiet, you two. Anyway, I loved this issue. Kasnia, huh? I did like that JLU episode. Icicle: I liked the interaction between Diana and the princess. Gave ideas, heh heh heh...
Artemis: *POW*
Icicle: OW! MY NOSE!-- A brief glance down at the river was enough to give Wes vertigo, and set his arms pinwheeling for balance--- because he had just seen something he had not seen in decades, something that he had never expected to see again...-- Oh, I wonder what Wes saw? Hawkman: Water from that stream that made people evil?
Flash: I say it was some old Nazi doomsday weapon.
Artemis: I think it's Jimmy Hoffa. *everyone looks at her strangely* What?! WHAT?!
David: Cameron, what do you see in her?
Icicle: Get a glimpse of her in the shower. ;DHey, the new Spy Smasher. I hope this version of her gets along with the JSA better than her comic self did with the Birds of Prey. Huntress: I am not giving up my crossbow! *hugs her crossbow* I love my crossbow...
Black Canary: Okay, Helena, you need some help. Just give me the crossbow...
Huntress: *clutches crossbow tighter* NO!I liked the battle with the new Sky Pirate. It was very exciting. Hourman: Speak for yourself. I had to walk the plank.
Jade: Why couldn't we have encountered Jack Sparrow? *pouts*
Artemis and Jesse: Yeah!
Icicle: Oh for God's sake! What is with the women and that stupid movie?!
Todd: It's Johnny Depp. Chicks dig Johnny Depp.
Icicle: *snorts* Johnny Depp is a pansy. I could kick his butt from here to Vlatava! *Notices the girls glaring murder at him* Hoo boy...And it seems we got ourselves some roster changes. Cap Marvel the new Chairman, and Peege and Steel on board. This'll be fun. Jade: If it's any consolation, Peege, I think Mr. Wildcat really does like you.
Power Girl: Oh yeah, he adores me.The JSA ACADEMY?! Oh, I want to see this! I can see some hilarious back-up stories coming from this. Ma Hunkel: You are way past curfew, young lady! What do you have to say for yourself?
Artemis: I just wanna go to bed! I wasn't expecting a Spanish Inquisition! *Ray, David, and Cameron burst in, wearing red Catholic robes, and accompanied by a blast of jarring trumpet music*
Ray: Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
Ma Hunkel: *blinks* What in the-?
Artemis: Who keeps letting them watch that show?! You know that show gives 'em ideas!
Wonder Woman: *whistles innocently*And a good ol' fashioned multi-Earth team up! This'll be fun. And the image accompanying was really nice. Hawkman: Yeah, until a Crisis comes along to eff all that up.Can't wait for more!

Dunno how I missed this! Sorry for not responding sooner, l1701e! Hey guys! Sorry I took so long to respond. Real life, and all that stuff. Artemis: Didn't help that nerdo here picked up Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire on eBay.

Icicle: OW! MY NOSE!Glad you liked the continuing adventures of Sandman hunting the Fourth Reich! As for the Kasnia reference, I picked it up from Jay Z's Wonder Woman run, and had some help from Messers Elbe and McIntyre (I haven't seen many of the JLU episodes, though one of these days I plan on catching up on DVD). Ha! Nice reference to the Stream of Ruthlessness! Good guess, buddy, but (and sorry to disappoint) all he was seeing was Spy Smashers gyrosub. Well, she'll have to deal with Wes first--- and their mission against the Fourth Reich is going to take them to some tight places--- look for the continuation of their adventures in the forthcoming Justice Society of America Annual #1! Glad you liked the fight! It was a bit of a debacle, but I guess that's why this issue ended... the way it ended ! I love this new roster, as it really gives me a chance to spread out. On that note, looke for Hawkman to show up in JSA from time to time--- and could his own series be far away? Could it? (Knowing me, yes ;D) Oddly, this scene is actually in the next issue. Weird how you predicted that. This begins with a bang next issue. I am having a lot of fun scripting this team-up, and hope that I have a few neat surprises in store! Isn't it awesome! Jamie oudid himself on that! And how about Alex's killer cover and pin-up? Gorgeous! Then wait no longer! Justice Society of America #7 posts tomorrow! Thanks for reading, buddy! I appreciate (and enjoy!) the feedback!
