Hey! Things pick up this issue (I hope *groan*) and when I say pick up, I mean something hits the fan in a major way, splattering anyone within range. I'm not gonna' ramble and rant on and on, but here's what you can expect: Mystery, Intrigue, Humour, Horror, Murder and Mayhem. What? You were expecting any less? Also making an appearance are Special Agents Nodell and Clevenger of the DEO, and their story begins to more obviously intersect with Vic Sage's in an obvious way. You probably won't want to miss this issue. Probably. Exalt goes to someone who spots the relevance of the Question's "new" alias!

A big improvement on the previous issue (although it's possible that I was just getting acclimatised then, having leapt in in the middle of the story at the time, and being bewildered by the seeming insistance at the start to not reveal the names of any of the characters that were being written about). Anyway, I really liked the momentum this time round and the story actually started to make sort of sense. Having said that, I could have done without the x's, and I'm not sure that the new post every sentence near the end, achieved anything that wasn't already being accomplished by the switching to italics.

Certainly an "oh ****" issue. I mourn for Claudette. I hate the Director. Real ID act of 2008 anyone? Scary stuff.
My only consolation is that Vic has to survive, otherwise he'll never square off against Starsky and Hutch--uh, I mean the DEO guys. Nice banter between the two of them.

Well, I'm still a tad lost, but not as much as I was. I've come to the conclusion that like a lot of Morrison's stuff, I'm just to old or to slow to follow it. That said, there were some real brilliant moments. Everything Clevenger and Nodell I loved! The whole chip thing was great! Also the number 42 stuck with me, for some bizzare reason. I see you took out the x's which was a good idea, and I will say that I have to agree with Mark on the fact that part of the reason I get lost is because sometimes I don't know who the "he" or "she" is that is talking. And I really, really like Bug. However, the mention of the briefcase did not go unnoticed, and I think I saw the seed of an upcoming event, in that one sentence. Yes? All in all, five stars. Four for a good story, and one extra for those agents that I'm really starting to get into, big time! Great job!

Okay, I read all three past issues (I'm back on my reading, yesterday I read three issues of Shazam!) and Charlie was right, this IS good for your health!
I love this arc! Even more than your first mini, I think. Nodell and Clevenger are awesome, I love those guys (Only problem is, I can't tell them apart. Which one is which?). The Bug is an amazing character, and the Questions is, well, the Question! The seducing, conspiracy, Area 15, Hell, everything is good!
Only thing I didn't like, it was confusing in the end. And I don't like Vapor. But I loved Booster, in whatever issue of the past three he was on!
Four, five and five stars!

Good for your HEALTH, people Thanks for the kind words Zoom. Big things in the making for Bug, Vapor gets... A spotlight (don't worry, it's not a big one!) and tQ... Well. You'll have to wait and see. Now might be the time to go reread the Quarterly issues people, because it's gonna get BIG!

Still not totally getting it, but I'm beginning to think that Nodell and Clevenger deserve their own book. They don't have to do anything or fight anybody, I just want pages and pages of witty banter. ;D I'm not sure what Vic's alias implies, but I do know that 42 is Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything.

This is why I like this issue - you gotta really pay attention! You gotta use your brain for something other than a hat stand!
I am also digging the fearless experimentation with style and form...or at least it seems like an expermentation to me...No two issues in this series are exactly same, there is always something to new to digest.
I gotta ask though...why 42?

Thanks Grant. I do try and push myself in style and method when it comes to stories told in this book, and I particularly enjoyed writing #6 (next week!) because it's basically a conversation between two characters inside a torture chamber! Can't get wittier than that!
