Haha, of course the Question is involved.
I knew that "Superman" wasn't for real, but I also thought it would be someone more obvious.
I know something of the Legacy of the Gambler, but it was pleasing to see it fleshed out.
Always good to see Talia again.
And of course, my boy Malthus.
Edit: And I see Lex still has his "we're better for humanity than the supernheroes" rationalization going. Perfectly in character.
Couple editing errors; there's a sentence fragment that just stops in the Question/MM segment, and at one point Lex refers to Harlequin as himself. But these are minor quibbles.
Four stars.

Haha, of course the Question is involved. The Question has played a role since the earlier issues of the title, and it only seemed right to have him continue his investigation into the underground conspiracy of the Society! Big plans involving him that will come to fruition in #12, and the aftermath of that in #13 (I finished writing that last month, very happy with it) will hopefully terrify and bemuse! I knew that "Superman" wasn't for real, but I also thought it would be someone more obvious. Yeah, that was a fun scene to write, and I'm especially proud of it onsidering the character involved. Don and I have big plans for Harlequin, moving in and out of Seven Soldiers of Victory in the coming months! I know something of the Legacy of the Gambler, but it was pleasing to see it fleshed out. The Gambler is brilliant in the DC2-- there's real meat to the concept with consideration of what Brian did with the character and the name over in New Outsiders and Green Arrow, and this legacy character is one of my favourite additions to the Society. Always good to see Talia again. Yeah, having two immortal women (who we will learn have had their lives intertwined by their fathers in our second year) running around as part of the inner circle of the Society is just fun, and #13 touches upon their relationship with consideration to their fathers in a minor, but fun way. And of course, my boy Malthus. Big plans for Sam, yes indeed. Again, the dreaded #13 will reveal more; but he will be playing a large role in the closing issues of our first year. Edit: And I see Lex still has his "we're better for humanity than the supernheroes" rationalization going. Perfectly in character. I really like that idea that he'd do great things if it wasn't for Superman, and I really enjoyed what Johns did with him in his last issue of Adventure Comics (#6?). His intense jealousy of heroes and the way they're ruining the world for him-- and therefore the rest of humanity-- is such an interesting concept to play with. Couple editing errors; there's a sentence fragment that just stops in the Question/MM segment, and at one point Lex refers to Harlequin as himself. But these are minor quibbles. Thanks for pointing them out-- I found the Lex/Harlequin error and fixed it, but couldn't find the TQ/MM error Brilliant, thanks for the kind words, Jay! Glad you're back onboard!

The error is here:
J'onn looked over to The Question, but the vigilante was already next to him, examining Mindeater's body. "Mindeater
Mindeater what?
The Question then says he's aware.

The error is here: J'onn looked over to The Question, but the vigilante was already next to him, examining Mindeater's body. "Mindeater Mindeater what? The Question then says he's aware. I'll rectify that immediately! Edit: I trawled through the revisions to the issue, and I must have accidentally cut out an entire sentence. I fixed it now, and so you don't have to trawl back through the issue (and if you're curious):
