Awesome! Loving the mystery you're building up, and Animal Man! You used Animal Man! Loving the way you characterised him... He's one of my favourites!

Great issue, Roman! I'm very intrigued with The Ten. It feels reminiscent of an orginization that I created back when I was game mastering a RPG for James Bond. Can't wait to see where that goes. I also have to tip my hat to you. So many characters and so many personalities and yet you keep them all straight. That alone is incredible.

As a continuity buff the first thing I picked up on was "Cave" Carson as a member of the Forgotten Heroes. How old is Cave anyway? Or is he the son of the "Golden Age" Cave from the Hawkman book. Something tells me you"re going to need to post an official timeline or history after the Crisis.

No, I have a better idea! We say that some powerful kid from another dimension punched a dimensional wall.

Yes there is a lot of mysteries so far in this story arc + the Black Orchid back-up. Everything will be answered in next issue. (Well almost everything) As for Animal Man I too love the character. To me he is the everyman type of hero. I hope someone can pick-up his story and run with it post-crisis! There is a constant theme that is running through this title that focuses on broken and tarnished characters. At its heart I think thats what the Suicide Squad is all about. I love digging through Suicide Squad and DC history to find characters that might have an interesting tale to be told obscure or otherwise. BTW if you like obscure characters wait until you see who I dug up for issue 8 which is a crisis crossover tale! Some of them are out of this world! The "Ten" will have their story told (if the Squad can survive the upcoming crisis) in issues 10-13 called "The Hit Between the Eyes" The lead-in for that tale begins in issue #2 of a new DC2 title called Rogues Gallery featuring Deadshot and a certain one-eyed assassin. Watch for that in October. It is hard at times but this has always been a character driven title and I love to play with the lesser known characters of the DCU. Of course I may be crazy introducing a new team of seven during Crisis but whats an event if your not dealing with 30 characters at once?? I too am a self proclaimed continuity buff and I work very hard to present characters as they were originally presented in the DCU (even including the most obscure facts). Cave Carson was a member of the Forgotten Heroes in the pre-crisis DCU. He has yet to play a major role in the current tale involving the death of Rick Flagg but is he the same Cave Carson that has appeared in The Immortal Legend of Hawkman ? It is possible that they are one and the same. Trust me when I say that the upcoming DC2 crisis won't need some stinking wall punching to explain away anything. It will be an epic tale that will have devastating and long reaching effects when all is said and done! Don't believe me? In Suicide Squad issue #8 someone dies who.....well where would the fun be if I told you now?
