For what feels like the umpteenth time, I apologize fro waiting so long to read these stories, much less comment on them. I burned through the last 3 issues over the past hour, and it's great as always. The Atlantis stuff, though it took a while to get going, was top-notch. I liked the whole power-play aspect of it, with Garth turning on his family for what seemed like the greater good but with no clear goal other than "overthrow the system". And I've been digging on Mera in the Blackest Night/Brightest Day books, so I enjoyed her kicking butt here. Now on to the Power Rangers...er, Shining Dragons. I'm not making fun, just pointing out a long-running trend in Japan of five-member, color-coded super-teams (I was always fond of Voltron and G-Force, myself). Makes sense that our Elseworlds Japan would follow the same model for their defenders. As for Anima, I don't know much about her (I forgot about her Bloodlines roots, that's for sure), but it looks like you've got an interesting angle here. What I liked the most in #41: Robin and Terra's tentative beginnings of a relationship. Would you be offended if I said it's cute? Reminds me of myself when I was first dating. Overall, I have to say that I like how you use the Resistance book to explore different areas of this altered DCU. Instead of just giving us "fight of the month", you really put thought into how things could change and implement those changes well. A-plus for that.

Hey, I'm as guilty of not reading as anyone else here.
The Shining Dragons are most directly based off of the 2040 Knight Sabres. A more serious handling than Power Rangers, which I'm glad to say I never watched more than a few minutes of.
But I'm glad you enjoyed both it and the Atlantis story!
Edit: Tara and Tim....GOD has it taken them a LONG time to get here. Much longer than I ever expected. Glad you enjoyed that, too.
