I've just sent the first draft of #70 to Mark for him to hack apart! When I found the vein of story I could mine, it quickly became one of those stories that refused to end so it's also one of the longest issues I've written in ages. If I had the space to split it into two issues (which I would have done if we weren't at the countdown for #75) the two parts would still have been longer than my average issue, and I would have had to write more to make the connective tissue work for that format. Uugh. I hope you enjoy it when it hits, as it's also my de facto Christmas issue!
In other news, Roy delivered the cover to Justice League Annual #3 and it's one of his best works to date (it'll debut at the end of #70), and I now need to get to work on writing the actual issue. I have just under 4k words down, and I've lost some others somewhere, so I'm currently searching for that, unfortunately. Dropbox does not love me.
