Since becoming Black King, Naif Al-Sheikh has changed the operational mandate of his branch of Checkmate Black into something different from the Black Queen's, including the recruitment of an entire Private Military Company-- Blackhawk PMC-- to his cause.
Black Knights:
Mister Orr
A professional troubleshooter by trade, Elias Orr is a member of the old school, and as such has a mysterious past with the brand new Black King. He currently travels from place to place acting exclusively on Al-Sheikh's orders, doing what he can to further his new employer's secretive agenda.
Blackhawk PMC Operatives:
Natanael Prohaska
Zinda Blake
Reginald "Rennie" Luke
Natanael Prohaska
Natanael Phohaska was born with flying in his veins and has done whatever was within his power to keep the Blackhawk in the skies, but due to restrictions on privately owned airforces, Blackhawk PMC has been limited to ground operations, and thanks to his unwavering instance on only ever being on the right side of any conflict, high paying contracts have been few and far between. But with the Black King's so-called black budget now available to him, and a United Nations mandate to operate in the skies, Blackhawk PMC is about to take flight once more--!
Zinda Blake
Little is known of how Zinda Blake vanished during World War 2 and emerged not a day older in the present. There are whispers of time travel, but she's not letting on the truth. That said, when she stepped out into a brave new world and saw the sorry state of her best friend Janos' airfleet, she dedicated herself a hundred times over to making sure his grandson restored the Blackhawk name to its original, hard won glory. That, of course, doesn't stop her from being the hard drinking, right-hook throwing bad ass she proved herself to be back in the 1940s...
Reginald "Rennie" Luke
Rennie always wanted to be a pilot, but when his colour blindness kept him out of the skies, he decided to keep his friends in the air force safe in a different way-- by becoming a radar technician par excellence, who only joined up with the Blackhawks when military cuts left him jobless. Now heading up the radar team on Blackhawk Island, Rennie is doing his best to keep the other members of Blackhawk PMC safe, while also making up for lost time as he learns how to pilot the array of craft in the organisation's hangers.
