Great first issue of our newest title! I enjoyed where you started this, having DD already around, but still pretty early in the game.
Foggy was great, and that fifth star was for the early introduction of Karen. One of my all time favorite supporting characters.
Ben Urich was handled nearly perfectly, and I laughed out loud at his thoughts on a certain team of 4 in Midtown. The only thing that threw me off for a second was your comment that after the gun went off Ben fell and shook like a child (not a quote, but it was something along those lines), then a couple of paragraphs down, you make the statement that Ben was a very tough as nails guy who didn't scare easily.
However, that is extremely nit picky and did not take away from the story at all. The final scene with Matt, alone, at the gym, actually gave me a few goosebumps. A very, very, VERY, nice way to end the first issue!
The cover was wonderful and absolutley fearless!!!

Very cool beginning. It was clean and classic, introducing all the main cast and their motives and mannerisms. It didn't get too messy which some origin stories can do. Very straightforward and easy to read. It was refreshing.
The only criticism I have is between DD and Ben Urich. I kind of get that he would talk to a reporter, though I feel he would probably want to stay all mysterious and whatnot but that may be me personally, but it felt kind of forced that he would ask for help that quickly from Urich. Even if he "senses" he could trust the guy, I feel like that relationship happened too quickly.
Hilarious intro for Foggy and Karen and the love triangle that you just know is gonna ensue. Though I thought Matt played it pretty cool and I don't know how I feel about that.
Overall, great action, thematic ending, and great promise. Hope to see more soon!

I thought I'd give this a read, and I found it really enjoyable.
The meeting between Ben Urich and DD was neat. I think DD should be somewhat intimidating.
I think this series should take some cues from Law and Order. The title character is a lawyer, so some courtroom drama would be nice.
Can't wait for more!

Daredevil is my favorite Marvel character and this was a VERY strong opening. The mood and the atmosphere were perfect and all the characters were spot on.
I am really looking forward to the second issue of this title. I'm also hoping that it won't be too long before we see Daredevil and Kingpin do some major sword crossing.

Great start of one of my favorite Marvel characters. I loved how you made DD appear as if he were a REAL devil, that whole mystery behind him, that was played out great. And you also got the feeling that Hell's Kitchen was a real neighborhood, that's crucial, as I think Hell's Kitchen is as big a character as DD. My only criticisms, is, as Daryl said that the relationship between Urich and DD happened way too fast, and could certainly have been expanded on. Still, other than that, a few other things to say would be, great dialogue for Foggy, you wrote him excellently. The ending was absolutely beautiful.
