I wanted to add a bit of humour to this book, because in all honesty, Tony is an awesome guy. He's your best mate that'll get you laid at a party, he'll go out of his way for his friends and he'll always come out a winner. That's Tony Stark!!

No plans. Tony is a genius. He doesn't need to reveal his identity, there is no situation that would require him to do so.

Justin Hammer was great again here and it looks like you're setting him up to be a (the?) major villain, and I just love that idea. I always liked Hammer as the "anti-Tony", as opposed to, say, Obadiah Stane.

Your descriptions of fictional technology are always well done and give this title the "cutting edge" it deserves. You were also able to quickly gloss over Iron Man's origin via Tony's speech and that was handled well. The details can be filled in later.

What do you need to know? If anything is different from his original origin, or the updated version (Ellis/Granov, I guess) then I would mention it. Though I have yet to bring in Rhodey, and I do have plans... It's just getting them on paper.

Now, onto the flaw discussed earlier. Well, it would be pacing. This story moves at a very fast rate, no time is wasted as the story is thrown at the reader. While this makes for a very exciting read, it did however leave me personally going "....whaaat?" a few times. I had to double check what I just read on several occasions, and I thought the fight scene suffered particularly from this as I had to read it about three times, and I'm still not sure what exactly happened

I'll try and tighten it up next time round. It just depends on how the story is flowing for me. If it's a tough telling, it's obvious, because I can't get things out smoothly, but if it's something that's fun to write, it flows pretty well. That's just me.

Tony was written with the perfect blend of arrogance, uncertainty, and heroism. Couldn't ask for a better group of supporting cast members, and it's great (I mean really great) to see them utilized. It's always helps the main character to grow and become even more three dimensional, as well as give the readers other characters to fall in love with as well. I'd much perfer to see a strong supporting cast, rather than guest stars.

Personally, I felt that the fight scene's were done well, and I didn't have much of a problem following them at all. Maybe it was my cold medicine that helped, though.

This was a good conclusion to the opening of Iron Man's series, but it didn't really sing to me. I liked Justin Hammer, he continues to be a great thorn for Tony (more htan Iron Man...which is great. Justin Hammer should be TONY'S nemesis, leaving Mandarin, Titanium Man and/or Spymaster to be Iron Man's nemesis, since they match him on different axial ends perfectly...Mandarin: magic and mysticism vs. modern day and high-tech; Titanium Man being national pride; and Spymaster being the "Iron Man" of corporate raiders).

Nitro as initial villain was an interesting, and inspired choice, providing some great hooks for the future, and giving a wonderful new take on him. He could become even heroic (it's what he wants to be). THat's cool, and look forward to more of that.

I felt that TOny, especially in the first half of hte book, eluded you though. He seemed still too mercurial and flighty, a little too out there still, his personality hadn't quite gotten figured out by you, and it seemed like he was still wonky from first issue. The boardroom scene, while cute, also was hard for me to take. Some of Stark's language didn't seem to fit him, and some of what he said and did don't hit the "plausibility" meter for me. He does smooth out a bit later on, but it was wonky and hurt some of the issue for me.

Things are building up nicely though, and I suspect that you should have the elements of this series under control in another issue or two.
