There is such a feeling of urgency in this book that I find every word compelling. So sad for DC that they don't have you and we do. Thanks for an awesome read, again!

The plot thickens!
My hat is really off to Ellen here. IMO, this is the most engrossing storyline to come out of the Bat-franchise for a lonnnnggg time! The characterizations are right on, and the style of writing sucks us into the drama of these lives, as if they were real people. The writer really knows her subject, and has begun to show the rest of us how truly cool it can be.
I am extremely proud that we at the DC2 have this storyline--- and if TPTB at DC get a look at this, they would do well to consider bringing on Ellen as a new Bat-writer.
And once again, our esteemed Art Director has provided us with a fantastic cover image! Bob Kane himself would be flattered!

Whoa! Thanks for the kind words. Not sure if I could write a monthly comic, to be honest. What's great about fanfiction is that if you need a few extra pages to get you to your next cliffhanger, you can take them. Writing a comic book, you're stuck with a 22-page mag, of which a large proportion of the page is artwork. And your final panel on page 22 had better be either a cliffhanger or an ending. Frankly, the requirements are a little too structured for me at this point.

Thanks! It's running bi-weekly and it's completed, now. Which means that 1) You don't have to wait a whole month, and 2) it'll be 'shipping on time'!

YAY!!! Lateness!
Alright, I'm kidding! I love what I've read of yours, and you havea fantastic grasp of character and events happening in the books right now. I personally stopped picking up Batman when Doug Mahnke left (when he started on the book, I jumped right on) and the only book I would pick up from the Batman family is NIGHTWING. I know some people don't enjoy the writers work on the title, but I enjoy the direction it is taking, especially Dicks anguish at the events transpiring towards his new 'family'... Very gripping stuff, but anyway... My opinion.
I bet your book'll be better though... I may enjoy Nightwing, but not as much as I'm enjoying this...

All I can say its Wow! I want to second and third every great thing that has been said about you and this story so far! It delivers on so many levels. Just like Davids work on Outsiders, I can see and hear the characters in my head because you make them real. And by making them real you make me care about them. And because I care about them I can't wait to see what happens next. And because I can't wait, you have made the time between each issue seem that much longer! Thank you Ellen because thats what we all want in a superb story!

Well, I first read the last 2 chapters when they were exclusive to Fanfiction.net, but I've been rereading 'em here just because they're so damn good! But you don't need me telling you that, everybody else has beat me to it.
This is why I consider you my fic mentor, DB: you knock 'em out of the park every time! Oh, and Jonah says thank you for the new shirt and the veggie chili! ;D

If you consider me your fic-mentor, Susan, I gotta tell ya: read John Westcott, Charlene Edwards, Haydee, Syl Francis, Brooke Terry, krtshadow, Chris Dee, SKH, Arlene, Slea, Aussie Nightwriter... the list just goes on. But those are your 'grand-mentors'. I would NOT be writing fanfic if these talents hadn't shown the way!
Glad you're enjoying the fic! And I'm glad Jonah liked the shirt & chili.
