Boy it sure didn't seem long. I think when this great epic is finished I am going to have to send you a self addressed stamped envelope so that you can send me an autographed copy. My gut tells me it's going to be worth something someday!
Thanks for another great issue to one of the best pieces of fiction I have ever read.

I noticed that doctor in one of the earlier scenes was strikingly familiar... The name... And then later on... You've reaffirmed my idea. I love you as much as a writer can love another. Seriously flashy writing and I can't wait for the next issues!

Well, thanks! I always kinda felt Loeb shortchanged Hush at the end. He seemed to have so much more potential. Glad you enjoyed!

I think that Gotham Knights made Hush over exposed, and I also believe that if they'd leaved him for a special arc... Then it would have worked... But hey, this is about your fantastic book! Can't wait for Nightwing!

the batman's that you picked to use were way too unbliveable..... thats why it made me smile to read it. good pics and great read. Don't really know how hush is goina be tied in but it's goina be exciting to see. I'm definatly reading nightwing now that your writing it. You really have the ablity to right for DC one day.

Thank-you! The use of unbelievable Batmen was definitely intentional. If you want Akins to assume that it's always been more than one Batman out there, it helps if some of the stand-ins obviously CAN'T be Dick Grayson moving really really quickly... At least that was Roy's thinking. Dick only ever wanted Arsenal and Robin in the costume. But Roy is... Roy.

Roy was SO Roy in this story! I enjoyed the heck out of him every time he opened his mouth. Glad you had Bruce see Dick on TV, even if it wasn't the whole thing -- he said things to the camera that he'd probably never say to Bruce in person. Oh, the press conference referred to when he was Robin, was that old Titans stuff? Also, thanks for the flashback of what happened to Romy's partner -- now her feelings are clear to me. HUSH?!? I thought that was Elliot talking to Romy in the lounge, but then I thought, "Nah, can't be!" Shows what I know!

Roy was SO Roy in this story! I enjoyed the heck out of him every time he opened his mouth. Hey, Susie! I am SO glad! This scene grew out of an AIM session with my beta. She was all for reporters asking about the 'real' relationship between Dick and Bruce, and Dick attacking the reporter. It occurred to me that 1) She was absolutely right about 2 things. The subject WOULD come up, and Dick WOULD react badly 2) For story purposes, Dick canNOT be facing assault charges, at odds with the press, etc. Soooo... Enter Roy and Dinah and a scene listed on my chapter outline as "press rehearsal". Probably my second or third favorite in the fic. (My absolute favorite is NEXT chapter. It involves a confrontation between Gordon and Akins. ;D ) Exactly. That's why he got a little nervous when Bruce mentioned it. Yep. I got the scans from a fellow poster to prove it! NTT Annual #2 IIRC. Actually, that's more a missing scene. The Gotham Central "Soft Targets" arc shows Nate ordering Romy out of the warehouse. KABOOM! Nate down and Romy looking up and seeing Batman with Molina. But she's had it in for Batman ever since... Weirdest thing on that one. Before I finished chapter 4, I had NO plan to use him... but the more I mulled it over, the better it worked. There are... things... being set in motion, now that are going to culminate in the cliffhanger at the end of chapter 7. And without Hush's role, the fic suffers drastically. Character motivation turns shaky and contrived, scenarios become increasingly OOC... in short it's a huge mess I didn't see coming until I'd figured out a way to tidy the whole thing up. And I still can't figure out how that happened!
