Good start!
I like it a lot when new teams spin out of existing teams especially this one.
I know who Omen is and am pretty sure what her mission is and it will be exciting to see how the Birds handle this in the coming months.
Looking forward to #2, #3 and #4!

Very good beginning! Even though I had the privilege of reading this before it was dropped, I have to say that I really enjoyed reading it again. Also that is when terrific cover! Keep up the great work!

Good, action-packed story with an interesting way of telling it through flashbacks. This team is so much fun to read about, and sometimes the way they deal with each other is better than how they deal with their adversaries.
One question though. Did the Birds leave their downed teammates where they fell? Especially since Vigilante appears to be badly injured?
And did you post an Omen story on 6/6/06 on purpose?

Thanks, Brian and batarang!
Wow...good spotting, batarang! I didn't actually do it on purpose, but it's a cool idea. Alos, the Birds had no choice to leave their teammates, but you'll see what's gonna happen to them next issue.
