David you almost had me concerned for my favorite 4th World hippies! Almost! I must say, this was like reading a classic Marv Wolfman Titans tale. Everything was there! The battles, the bickering, the true family spirit that is the Titans! I could say that I feel bad for Lex Luthor because he no longer has Hope, but I can't find any Mercy for him! ;D The war rages on and I can't wait to see what happens next! Also it must be said that Ramon delivered big time on the cover rounding out an amazing tale.

David, this is excellent! You had me riveted from start to finish! Thanks, Ellen! But I'd be remiss if I didn't say I've learned a lot about writing this sort of story from reading your issues. In fact, I have a W.W.E.D. sticker taped to my laptop...

Also it must be said that Ramon delivered big time on the cover rounding out an amazing tale. Thank you, Mr. Elbe! Superb punnery! For me, Marv Wolfman has to be the all-time greatest comics writer (though his best stuff were his collaborations with Geprge Perez). His dialogue could get a little hokey and melodramatic, but he sure could tell a story! I recently went back and read the original COIE (Absolute Edition--- it rocks), and gotta say it is superior to IC in every way (I like Geoff Johns and all, but he's no Marv Wolfman--- or Roy Thomas, for that matter!). This issue actually started out quite differently, with the Titans stuck in something called 'the Psycho Circus', which I thought was a cool, Apokoliptian name--- until someone told me it was the name of a KISS album! Tweaking it a little bit, and throwing in the Forever People, forced me to stick closer to the main Crisis narrative, and I think the issue came out better for it! Ramon's cover is indeed, fantastic, but I would also like to give a shout-out to the usually unsung Mark Bowers. He is an editor's editor, and really elevates whatever title he's on. His observations are spot-on, and always delivered with courtesy and professionalism. This issue was twice as good for his involvement in it!

"Titans- Together!" One thing though, Dave... You made a mistake. How would the Forever People know that Scott Free was Mr Miracle when he adopted that identity from Thaddeus Brown, of Powers, Inc fame? We need a Cris-- Oh... Wait...

While I agree with some of what you said (mainly the bit about Ramon's cover being fantastic), I'd heavily refute that I made the issue twice as good (once as good is mathematically nearer the mark). Also, I'm quite happy to be unsung - part of an editor's job is to just to remain lurking in the background and try and make the writer's work look as good as possible (which in some cases, this one included, is just a matter of trying to clear up typos). Thanks for the compliment - I really appreciate it, don't get me wrong - but there are other editors here (yourself included) who are equally unsung on the editing front and equally worthy of being singled out.

Editting really isnt that hard. I would do it but i find it distracts from the process of making brilliant covers.

I really liked this issue but I have a question; When are the rest of the Titans going to figure out Roy's secret?

Great job Dave! It really did have that Wolfman feel to it. Every character was spot on, and the cover was fantastic!

Ahh! Hope and Mercy got barbequed! Once again, a turn of events I didn't see coming -- this Crisis is chockablock with 'em! Good interaction with the TT, and I thought at first that you'd performed a serious rewrite on the Forever People, but you fooled me. Good job with that! And yes indeed, KISS had an album (and long-running comic!) called Psycho Circus -- I can thank my husband, a loyal "KISS Army" member, for that nugget of knowledge.

Why don't you guys have the Titans team-up with KISS?! That would rule! ;D Action, adventure, rock 'n' roll, and Gene Simmons nailing Starfire.

Fantastic issue, although one might wonder... where did Speedy find more arrows? He was out at the beginning, using his bow as a club, but then had more once they confronted the crowd! He was running around plucking them from the bodies of Parademons, wasn't he?
