Nothing like starting out with a bang! This was a terrific read from beginning to end and I although I'm not a huge fan at all of the two "new" introductions, it didn't stop me at all from loving every bit of this. If this is the direction the League is headed, I'm in it for the long run!

Lots of mystery brewing in Justice League nowadays, I see! A complete change of pace from the previous writers, not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just... Different. Still very good! I enjoyed seeing some new blood in the book, but like Brian, wasn't a fan of some of members, but knowing what you have planned, I'll stick around.

Fooled me! Felt sure it was going to be two parter. A sensible villain who knows when he's beat? How rare. No problem with the new members here!

Liked seeing Bruce operate out of the cowl. The beginning had a definate Douglas Adams feel to it and for me thats a good thing. Good story, I liked the mystical turn this time. MM's part was very exciting and tense.

Well as I kind of said earlier, I was eager to check out Don's first issue.
I wasn't sure what to expect. As I said to Brian when he wrote his first issue, writing a team book is hard enough but the JLA big guns has to be the worst and the best writing gig.
You took a completely different approach here throwing in some surprising and some would say, obscure characters and made it work.
The story itself turned out to be interesting and pretty unique. You get credit for delivering a non-typical Justice League tale. I wasn't blown away by your debut issue but it was extremely well written and held my interest from beginning to end.
The cover was simply amazing. I actually stopped and looked it over for several minutes before diving into the story. Some of your best work to date Roy.
I look forward to being surprised and entertained with whatever happens next.

Thanks for the kind words on the first issue of my run. I'm glad everyone's liked the cover, it was definitely a home run from Roy, that's for sure.
Yeah, we're a little different with this first issue. I wanted to get a nice, clear, clean break from the stories before this one and set a new tone for things, and I'm glad to see it apparently worked. Don't fear, this will be one of the rare few times that things go so easily and smoothly for our beLEAGUEred heroes (get it? hah! I crack me up!).
Here's hoping I'll be able to turn people around on our new members. Of course, only admitted one to the ranks this last issue so I'm not sure who people think that other member might be (wink, wink), but I've big plans for them and some others. Trust me, if you're not so sure about these two, then wait until you stare in disbelief at who I bring in down the road! LOL
And the mysteries are indeed just beginning in this issue. Doctor 7 seemed to take his defeat pretty easily? why yes...why would that be? hmm...you'll get even more hints as we start chugging up the hill of this roller coaster ride.
Keep reading all, and thanks for the comments.
Take care Don

I was able to tell this was a new starting point for this title. It's not a bad beginning. I particularly liked the Bruce Wayne scene. Having him acting out of the batsuit was cool.
While I liked the overall plot of the story (it reminded me a bit of the old Amos Fortune ones) i thought it was a little too neat. Of course maybe this was intended. The villain seemed to roll with things quite easily. I'm going to guess there's more to it than meets the eye.
I think the main issue I had was the the 'voices' of each character seemed too much the same. The dialogue was a little interchangable. J'onn could have been Flash who could have been Wonder Woman. A little more distinctiveness should go into them I think.
I enjoyed the cover very much. Very good artwork.

Thanks very much for checking us out. You're suspicions are right, there is more to this than meets the eye, and if our Leaguers can get past their current difficulties, they'll be slowly piecing more of that mystery together as well.
It was definitely designed as a stepping on point, a place for me to mark my style from the illustrious predecessor, and I'm glad you enjoyed it overall. Sorry about the voices all sounding the same. That's a terribly important aspect to me, and I'll be sure to work harder to make them all sound like the individuals they are. Thanks!
Hope you keep on reading through the series, and keep on commenting.
Take care Don
