Ooh wow, what a ride this is =D a huge story coming to what look like a thrilling end, full of big action and sweet and funny character moments alike. So much to work with, and you use everything that you have so well. I love the little changes, too, the small differences that make their Earths different. Mon-El's lead aversion is just really great. Absolutely looking forward to the thrilling conclusion

Another great entry Don, can't imagine how you'll top yourself for the big battle, but if anyone's going to be able to I know it's in the right hands. That first sequence with The Construct was brilliant, you could feel every bit of it. It's an odd paradox you've created, it seems so passionate, despite being so distant emotionally. I've always been impressed with the way you can stage and orchestrate battle sequences with multiple characters and still keep it readable. As a reader, I never lose track of the action, which is a plus. The Persuader battle here was an exellent example of that. The character moments here are just as sharp as they always were: - the interraction between Blue Jay and Atom in particular was sharp (I'm hoping Jay sticks around after this adventure, he adds a lot to the story) and true to form
- the bit with Batman and Captain Speed was priceless
- the insight into the minds of Firestorm as they prepare for the upcoming battle
- Bruce f'ing Lee!
Once again Don, you've done a great job with this one, I really can't wait for the big issue. Roy once again knocks the art out of the park with the cover - it's a sharp, exciting entry. Kudos!

Great issue, Don! There was a LOT here, and quite a bit to keep up with. I have to admit that Wonder Woman's team is my favorite so far, with Green Lantern's a very close second.
The story is sharp and moves at a great pace, and all the characters are well written. Although I'm not a huge fan of some of the newer one's (BlueJay and Silver Sorceress being the exceptions), I found all of them to be fascinating, giving me the desire to want to know more about them.
Boy, Superman is just gathering family all over the place! Another brother! A cousin! (okay, that was a plug for Roy's Action Comics, a great read, folks!) Nice interaction between Kal and Mon.
But what I really, REALLY like about this is your attention to DC2 detail. The little mentions of Green Lantern's latest adventure, the reminder that Hawkgirl is still very new to this crazy hero business, and of course Ray's opening up of his feelings about Jean, are what really made this issue special to me.
Many of us here have tried very hard to support each others books and help each other along when we can, and by commenting, even slightly, of what else is going on in this wonderful universe we are all creating, shows that when we take the time to pay attention to what others are creating in this shared world, it makes everything here much richer. KUDOS!
And I can't finish my praise without mentioning another awesome cover by Mr. Flinchum! Is there nothing that this guy can't do?! Excellent Roy!

Well this issue jumps all over the pace but you did a good job in keeping it all together. The use of the Overmaster and The Construct is well done and the huge amount of characters are mostly holding their own personalities and distinct voices. The Elongated Man, The Atom, and Batman are all standouts here. The use of the alternate universes is a fun thing and I'm getting the idea that the Multiverse is alive and well on this site. Mon-El supposed to have been his universe's "Superman" was a nice touch. Top notch work on the cover once again.

Thanks to all of you for the kind words. Things are building up momentum, that's for sure. Thanks to all who commented on the Atom/Blue Jay sequence. That was a great one to write, and I felt it was full of emotion. I feel Hank Pym has gotten some raw deals from modern writers, so it was really nice to get to write a sympathetic version of him that really gets across the love he holds for his wife. The fact that I got to work things out with Atom and Jean's tale thanks to the great Christmas Special story (and by the way, I see that as coming in after this issue, encouraged by Jay's words) is just going to make Ray's story get better and better. Thanks to Brian for letting me play in his arc. When I proposed Mon-El's debut to Scott (who'd been asking if someone would do his story in the present day and set up his arrival in Legion), and offered the twist that he's really the alternate reality Superman, he was very excited. He's busy and not really around much, but I hope when and if he gets a chance to check this out, he's happy with how the storyline goes. I've always liked Mon-El, I've always liked the old Legion where they did treat each other as brothers, and so I'm glad to get to put a little twist onto it. One of the fun things about this team is that Hawkgirl (and soon another new member) are new to this, and they've gotten bumped straight up to the all-star lineup! That's got to be a bit overwhelming, and it's fun to write that up. Granted, Kendra's got much too sharp a tongue and strong an attitude to let the rookie nerves swamp her badly, and as you can see, I have some strong plans for her long-term development in the League. But that's okay, because I have the other rookie to play less secure, more nervous and not so sharply spoken. And Shadow, I'm glad you're excited by the multiverse being alive and well here in the DC2U. And it very, very much is, because that's were "DC3" comes in, which you can check out by clicking the multiverse button at the top menu bar and check out all our other Earths. Three active so far, and possibly more to come very soon! And I particularly suggest checking out Earth U's Ultimate All-Stars 1 and 2, not just because I wrote them, but because I think you in particular might get a kick out things in there. Anyway, thanks again to everyone and here's hoping #12 provides an adequate, and even exciting, and possibly tense and touching, conclusion. Take care Don

There was some good emotion in this one! Ray and Jay, Mon and Kal, there was some heart-breaking stuff in this issue.
But there was still plenty of action! Persuader vs. the JL was very epic and cool, and the moment where Flash gets injured (he cut the Speed Force!? WHOA!?) and is still able to save Wonder Woman from getting her wrists cut off, that felt like true heroism. As a JL title should plenty of.
Also, how the hell does Ralph keep getting the best lines? When the Persuader leaves, that "Did we win?" part was glorious. Ralph is slowly growing into one of the most comical and awesome characters on this title.
Awesome stuff!

Whoot! What a slate of praise, and thank you very much for it. In order for the epic action feel, there needs to be the emotion and inner turmoil, and those two pairings allowed for it in such an obvious and plausible way. Glad it worked. I love Ray and Jay and I believe we have a nice payoff to these scenes in JL Annual #2 as well.
Persuader's atomic ax is powerful, and exploring what it means to be able to slice anything is fantastic fun. Cutting the Speed Foce and the usually unbreakable bracelets also help to establish Persuader as a dangerous opponent. And having a chance to make Barry's speed a hindrance to him to overcome to be heroic...well, that's just icing on a literary cake, and I'm glad it hit that note for you. As for Ralph, he's always been one of my favorite Leaguers, and I'm so pleased I get to introduce to readers (and for some reintroduce) why that is.
One more issue in this arc to go over, and I'm glad you're enjoying the ride.
Take care Don
