THIS WAS SO AWESOME!
I LOVED THE REVEAL AT THE END!
But then I thought "Oh, typical Jay, couldn't he come up with something more original?"
BUT THIS WAS!
Then I thought "Original for Jay."
And then I nodded in agreement.
Ok dude, I admit, you're a good writer. I'm glad (SHOCK!) to have you onboard at the DC2, and even though we disagree on matters, this was an amazing Elseworld. It wasn't blatant and obvious, it wasn't a fan-creep piece of work, and there was no Mary Sueing in sight, and my GOD, that ending reveal... AWESOME.
Five stars.
I want more.

Great conclusion to a novel mini-series! I've said it before, and I will say it again, Jay is the master of the Elseworlds formula: take a familiar paradigm, shake it up and turn it on its head! The corporate rivalry framework of this story was fascinating, contemporary and well-researched (speaking as one who spends 60-70 hrs a week immersed in it ); my favorite scene was Selina's report to Bruce about their overseas ventures and the boardroom skullduggeries involved! The CR Bruce Wayne would give the Donald Trumps of the world a lesson in corporate realpolitik! While the action scenes were excitingly rendered, the best stuff was the dialogue and the revelations. I think that it would have been harder to guess at Batman's and Batgirl's identities if we didn't know Jay and his other work so well, but still it was a cool twist. My only gripe with this issue is Luthor was made out to be something less than the genius I know he is (I know this is an Elseworlds take on him, but a 'bean counter?' Ouch!); perhaps he'll learn from his defeat in this issue (although, you'd think he'd've learned from tangoing with Superman in Metropolis). But the coolest part: Jay has seeded this issue (and the other two) with enough material for at least one sequel! I, for one, am interested in finding out what Bruce does with Selina, who Luthor hires as his proxy, and what comes next for this new (and literal) Bat-Family! Perhaps there's a Nightwing in the future for the character mentioned at the end...? Very nice cover, Roy. The three of these viewed together are kitschy-cool! Five stars, fellas!

Thanks, guys. I was starting to think no one was gonna read this thing!
Luthor's intelligence was beaten out by his obsession/craziness. But as you can see, he's far from given up.
I would like to do two sequels, forming a trilogy, but that is behind my regular DC2 continuity work, Resistance, and other projects on my priority list.
And yes, Kudos to Roy on the thematically linked covers, especially the last one! I let him Elseworlds-ify the Bat costumes with only vague guidelines. The yellow eyes are an especially nice touch!
