So Reddy had the jaws of life the whole time. Who'da thunk it?
Another great installment. The duality of the characters was interesting, and not just Babs/Reddy. Kate's struggle with her personal and "professional" life is very well written and I'm looking forward to how it develops.
Grace got screen time. Do more of that.
And Fero Industries is buying up the DC2 Corporateverse. Is it just me or do I smell a crisis coming on?
A fun, if not a bit awkward, issue. Keep it up.

Well, this is the issue in which Grace finally won me over; her confrontation with Dr. Phelps was classic!
Another 5-star installment from the DC2's foremost creative team: Brian, Roy and Mark! Everything about this issue was great: from the striking cover, to the superb characterizations to the long-term, overarching stories spanning 30 issues (what a huge accomplishment! Take a bow, gentlemen)!
As eager as I am to have Babs and Reddy sorted out, their peculiar situation is fascinating, not least because of Reddy's (shall we say) probing nature...?
Only in the New Outsiders can you do a scene like that and have it work!
Big build-up for the next issue, sure to be an extravaganza of epic proportions. I haven't anticipated an issue like this since George Perez and Marv Wolfman sent the New Teen Titans to take down the Citadel!
Can't wait 'till next issue!

Very great issue. I just found on little error
In the middle of scene 6 it says
"Dr Phelps jumped up from his desk in surprise as Huntress, Grace, and Plastic Man streamed into the room."
that has to be Black Canary.
#30 - I'll be there!!! 5 stars

So Reddy had the jaws of life the whole time. Who'da thunk it? Not Barbara, that's for sure! Once we knew Reddy's part in the second Crisis, we wanted to give him a true comic book "out" and once we came up with that, we realized we had the ability to connect this all back to the first Crisis. Mark's a genius, ain't he! And it will be, too, as well as her parentage and where her costume came from. Year three has been about some bigger issue's and the emergance of the new team. The fourth season will focus on the individuals much more.
Grace got screen time. Do more of that.
For you... anything! Sorry, not a huge crisis, but the Fero story will culminate in this summers New Outsiders Annual #2, with several surprises (one that Mark and I have been holding since year 1) and will not only effect The New Outsiders, but Green Arrow and even Superman. Awkward? Really? Sorry about that, but glad you still had fun with it. You just keep reading and giving us honest feedback, and we'll keep doing our best! As always, thank you!

Well, this is the issue in which Grace finally won me over; her confrontation with Dr. Phelps was classic! David likes Grace! Woo Hoo! I did it! Now if I can get Don to like Anarky, I have accomplished much! LOL! Glad you liked it. She's really fun to write. Really! I honestly could not do this without Mark or Roy. (well, and a certain former EIC who gave me the chance to begin with). I feel that Mark and Roy and I have created this huge mytho's of a mansion with so many rooms that we can now revisit, rooms that are only have finished, and waiting for that final coat of paint, that there is nothing else that I write that I enjoy more. And the fact that we still have people reading this title after 29 issue's is what really keeps us going. Well, that and Roy calls me in the middle of the night to yell at me to get back to work. You know, that wasn't in my story outline, but just popped into my head as I was writing, and I actually did make myself laugh out loud at that one. But it makes sense, doesn't it? And I wish I had more time to explore it as well, but time is something that Barbara doesn't have. Thank you sir, and what a comparison! I just hope we don't let you down.

I don't know how you do it Brian! This is some awesome stuff! I liked Dr. Phelps reaction to Grace. Thank you, Sir! I'll tell you my secret... sleep deprivation. Please don't sell yourself short, my friend! You are just as integral to this series as Mark or myself. Your dedication on this series has never gone unnoticed or taken for granted by us. And I'm not just saying that because of next months "George Perez" style cover! SEE! I'm telling you folks, this is what he does in the middle of the night. Scares the heck out of me! He's brilliant and certifiable! ;D

I liked *Plastic Man's* reaction to Phelps. Thank you. Bullying doesn't always work, does it. Not that Grace didn't give it the old college try. He's not bad, he's just... curious. LOL! And boy are they going to need her! Glad you liked the ending. I just hope we can deliver. And as always, thank you for taking the time to read and respond, Jay!

Indeed Eel, damn that Booster Gold!
A wonderful story, full of lots of emotion from the first moment, with Kate and her husbands (Baaaaastard!) interaction very scathing to read. I feel sorry for her, but this is the New Outsiders, and their lives as heroes are never as easy as they are for others.
And Brian, what is this porn you're providing?! Red Tornado continues to be a break out character on this site... (Hee.)
Whilst I was enjoying Plastic Man's characterisation, his threats to Phelps seemed a bit... Sudden. And after refusing to give answers to Grace's interrogation technique, that hear'say threat was a bit... Weak. But I understand it needed to be done, and I didn't let it distract me too much as I continued reading.
And Zee! Whilst I've not been reading her mini, it's always good to see her, and non-evil too! Woo!
And that finale. God love Dr Bedlam! I love that guy, so much that I used him TQQ2, I think. Though I can't remember. Heheahah!
Ok, all in all, a really brilliant issue. Not without its flaws, but those flaws were nothing when put up against the amazing story you're still weaving. The questions you throw up are brilliant! Who is Fero? What the fuck is going on? Etc etc.
I'll be back... SOMEHOW!

Indeed Eel, damn that Booster Gold! What can I say, Charlie. It still hurts him. Booster really hurt the poor guy. Glad you liked that little scene at the beginning and you are exactly right. Nothing is ever easy for these particular heroes, sad to say. However, I'm not sure I would go so far as to call Peter a Bastard... not if you take a second and look at it from his point of view. We know that she is fighting the good fight, but all he sees is that she ran off and abandoned their son. Android/Human porn is the BEST! Just as Vision and Wanda! I'm sorry you found that a weak point, my friend. I was trying to show that Eel's quickness isn't limited to quips, and one liners, but he can also think quickly on his feet, to help the team. Glad it didn't distract you, though. *sigh* And here I read everything that you write. Even Versus. ;D Well I hope I do him justice for you next issue... and a certain other sadist as well... Thank you, my friend! And I'll be here awaiting your feedback, as always. Thanks for taking the time, Charlie. It does mean a lot!

Ah, wonderfully classic super-team action. I love reading this series, and the twists with Red Tornado and Batwoman were very interesting. The heart-rending Manhunter call with her son was touching, and I'm really loving her storyline. There were so many little moments throughout this issue, which is what it really was, little moments strung together, giving you a peek at all the various storylines, giving the various characters their moments, while setting up for the next big tale. Classic super-team writing, and take a bow, Brian.
can't wait for the next issue, as always.
Take care Don

It's no secret that this crew is my one true passion, and as much as I love the big stories, it's these small one's that I really enjoy. It gives me time to really develop the characters even more. Hope the next issue is worth the wait, for you!

So the issue starts out with a heartbreaking moment with Kate and her son. Even Plastic Man gets my sympathy here in a small but well written moment.
Kate smacks Anarky. I think that’s three issues in a row that he gets hit (if you are keeping score at home)!
The the scene with a way too curious Red Tornado about the female body had me laughing out loud! Grace has turned into my favorite character in this book. She way she lets loose is always a treat to read! Hell, she singlehandedly earns this titles “mature rating”!
The return of Zatanna made me realize I still have to read her mini series too!
Wow! Black Canary is due some revenge damn it! So its back to Apokolips huh? What a powerful ending! What makes it perfect is the way to build upon these characters in a way that the reader feels invested in what they are going through. And when you deliver on their individual stories the payoff is huge!
Great cover here. I like the simple yet powerful use of the split image between Batwoman and Red Tornado.
5 stars.
