Started reading this last night but my computer played up, so I finished it this morning (it shut down at a right cliffhanger moment!) and boy, am I glad I did! Everything about this ensemble book as just wonderful, every character gets a moment to shine, and the emotion and heart is just so apparent. Reddy's back! Batwoman's ok again! I did find that moment, near the start, when Reddy didn't want to let go of his new found "humanity" both scary and really sad, but I'm glad he's got a new body.
This issue feels like the end of an era, doesn't it? Or the end of a very large plot arc waiting to be resolved (which sounds more accurate). Hope next issue we get a breather, but if not, I'm with you, Brian! With you till the end on this wild ride (and beyooooond...)

You ever get the feeling that Brian is composing music rather than writing a story? This quip left me with the tinge of a guitar string being plucked by a pick... Just felt the emotion screaming off the page. How do you do that, Brian? I really had to debate if this was an average issue or if it was good... I went with good because the writing was solid if not great at times.. but the ending with Bedlam and the group saving Babs... I dunno.. I felt like it should/could be more. Not sure what I am missing, but I wasn't quite satisfied with the end like I was with the body of the story. Good writing though... I am anxious to see Roy's take on this "new" Apokolips... I can sense what Charlie is saying too... there is more to this story coming... To Be Continued Elsewhere? **** (stars) From me.

Plastic Man lay there moaning, “You know, ever since I joined up with you people, it seems like one woman after the next has been walking all over me. I’m going to take a nap now.” And with that he fell unconscious.
Bwahahahaaaa!
Oh, Dinah, you don't wanna go there....it's very hard to come back.

I tried my best to give everyone a little moment, and I really wanted to expand on Reddy's desires, but I was alread clocking in at over twenty pages. There will be a slight breather next issue, and this issue was a wrap up of sorts, and a beginning of others. Just like life. But I've always been glad and proud that you've hung around on this ride. It's always been a treat.

I came into this issue with high expectations. As per usual, my expectations were met.
In the end, this issue looked like a giant fight scene (Which is cool). The highlight was the strange but sweet interection between Reddy and Babs. Dinah and Ollie was a good second, though. “Oh, by the way, I have a son named Connor that I forgot to tell you about and he’s staying with me in Star City now.” Priceless.
Looking forward to Reddy's return to Earth. Keep up the amazing work.

Just felt the emotion screaming off the page. How do you do that, Brian? Wow, I don't know. I've never had anyone compare it like that, and it's taken me aback a bit. But I'm honored that there are moments that resinate like that for you. Well, that was kind of a dilema for me. I was already twenty pages in and I could have really written another ten to fifteen, but felt that I would have lost the readers. In retrospect I guess I could have made the struggle to get Reddy out a bit more climatic, but felt that the important thing was to show the unity of everyone in that scene. Which I feel I did, albeit in short form. Check out NEW GODS!!! The book is awesome and I am so glad I was allowed to play in that world again. I hope I didn't muck things up too much. And of course NO keeps on going. Roy's cover is awesome in so many ways and I thank you for taking the time to read and honestly respond. It means much. **** (stars) From me. [/quote]

A most excellent resolution to the Batwoman/Tornado sub-plot and a great chapter-closing to this portion of the Outsiders' story in general. Lots of strong emotion, great character moments, fantastic action...all told, proof positive that this is the best title going on the DC2 site. And I dont' want to hear this modesty crap of yours, Brian. Suck it up and deal with the compliment, already! The Stompa/Grace fight was fantastic, and all the other little scenes here and there just added wonderfully. Dinah and Ollie discussing Anarky cracked me up. "He's not stupid, he's a teenager." "Never seen a difference." Awesome, and so fitting. Five stars and a standing ovation, Brian, and I can't wait for more. Take care Don

Of course I work with sixteen women in my office, so there might have been some projecting on that one. Glad this has you concerned, Jay. It should... Thanks for reading my friend. And remember, sometimes things aren't what they seem to be.

I came into this issue with high expectations. As per usual, my expectations were met. Thank you, and really glad I didn't let you down. Well, you know Ollie. Pick the wrong time to say something really important and then drop it like a bomb. LOL! Babs and Red were scene's I worked hard on, and I can't take full credit for this turn of events. Both David and Mark had suggested the idea at different times. It's just taken me a while to get them to this point. Ask and you shall receive. Next issue, Red Tornado is back!

LOL! Yeah, I think I was just projecting a bit on Ollie's line there. I know this is Ellen's line but... *blush*. Thank you so much.

What a great reunion issue. There was a lot of closure to some lingering plot threads.
The dialogue through out this issue was great. You have such a handle on these characters and their voices. Plus your ability to tell a story through simple conversation is amazing. So much characterization was covered in such a short amount of time with so many great lines to boot.
Kate's struggle between her son and team is sure to have consequences down the road.
Green Arrow and Black Canary together again. Leave it to Ollie to drop the Connor bombshell on her the way he did.
So Dinah chose to forgo her revenge to save Babs? How will this affect her going forward?
And at the heart of this issue was Batwoman and Red Tornado struggles for control as well as Reddy confronting his human side. Did he actually ask her out on a date? A very nice surprise. Well played sir. Well played.
The action was intense. Grace versus Stompa was the highlight here.
Roy's entire team shot cover was the icing on the cake.
5 stars.
