I wasn't enamoured with this one like issues past, but it had some themes that make this book compelling.
I like the links to the Batbooks saga that is setting fire to the old... and bringing in the new. I am unsure about the romance with Babs and Reddy... I guess I'll have to see where it possibly goes.
Ollie is a jerk. I think you captured that really well, Brian. He's the epitome of "What Me Worry?" He's an asshole and you got to love it because it gets under Dinah's skin....
I think you captured Kate really well. I am glad she's got her own scene here with her son Ramsey. I really felt that emotion... Sounds like she's going to need to get her act together some time soon.
Roy's cover is awesome. Classic Reddy but the details of the image are definitely some of the finest he's done. ***** from me on the cover.
I think the issue is good not great though... it's got some themes that grabs you though and of course I'll be back. I want to see where this Lizzie thing goes for sure....
**** from me.

A fairly quiet issue. It's good to see what's going on our favorite team's heads. Kate's personal drama is still going strong (Unfortunately for her) and is still extremely well written.
Helena's problems are kicking off and her struggle with her mother is a great way to show this. Her difficulty confessing her father's crimes make sense and are powerfully written.
I missed the latest Batman arc, so I didn't get what actually happened to Bruce, but Babs "date" was both awkward and sweet (and then tragic).
Finally, we come to DC's hottest couple, Ollie and Dinah. The fact that they know each other well enough to drive each other crazy makes their relationship worth reading for it's unpredictability and plain fun.
And again with the Fero Corp. I swear, my Crisis sense is tingling like crazy! There have to be skrulls afoot here or something...
Never change this series ever. It's perfect exactly the way it is.

This was a little bit of a diversion from the norm. A small, quiet issue that is building on stories for the future. Ollie's a jerk!? So that's what was going on, huh? Kate's character is one that I'm trying very hard to develop slowly and with real purpose. Think of her as in a concoon at the moment, and what she emerges as, depends on what roads she chooses to take. ROY IS AWESOME!!!! I'll always shout that to anyone who'll listen. ;D Thanks for reading and letting us know what you thought! I hope next issue works better for you. As for Lizzie Furst and Fero, you might want to check out the next Action Comics for more development on that, and then to Green Arrow for the next chapter. Cause something is coming soon... ;D

Yep, quiet issue. I think it's important that the readers know as much as possible about these characters. So sometimes a quiet issue is necessary (and a fun change of pace). Really glad your enjoying the Kate stuff. I promise that there will be an eventual payoff to that story. Poor Helena. Round two, is coming up, and once again her issue's with her family are going to drag her back in... and once again bring up issues of Adrian. Adrian... hmmm... You've missed all the Batman action?!?!?!?! Shame on you. Grant and Ellen have been working extra hard on the story of the century, and very soon, our own House Of Mystery will be entering the fray as new writer of Tec, to add his own greatness to a brand new Bat World. Check it out! Couldn't have said it better myself. ;D I'm humbled by that lose last words. Thank you so much, and thank you for your continued support. It does mean a lot. As I stated before, keep an eye on both Action Comics as well as Green Arrow, because Fero is everywhere, and what's coming is going to effect those books as well as NO. See you next month... or next week for Action Comics!

A solid and entertaining transitional issue. These stories are needed just as much as the big set-pieces, and this one was done quite well. All the various scenes were filled with emotion, and drama, and set up or furthered so many wonderful sub-plots. Kate and Helena slugging it out was fun. I cheered when Kate did the right thing. That was a gripping scene and I was very worried. It's great to see her struggling and doing the right thing because that's who the character is, instead of having the "shocking moment" that would have ratcheted up the melodrama at the cost of what the character is like. Well done. And thank GOD someone slapped Ollie. Dear God, he deserved that. Seeing those two go at it in any fashion is so enjoyable. And Dinah's right...Ollie's far from complicated. LOL I continue to stand by my statement: "Oliver Queen THINKS he's God's gift to women. Dick Grayson IS God's gift to women." Ollie so had this coming. Hopefully, Connor can help him to grow into a better person. All in all, fun stuff. As always, well-done, and very tight. Good work, Brian. See you in thirty! Take care Don

I check in here from time to time, and New Outsiders is always my favorite! The coveris great, really sweet. But I'm not sold on the Babs/Reddy pairing. I'm tired of unrequited love with Dick, especially since they are my OTP. C'mon! Get those 2 together! Ollie is written exceedingly well! Such a jerk! Can't wait to see Connor's effect on him tho. And I just love watching Dinah put him in his place. She's awesome. I'm excited to read what's in store for both Kate and Helena. You're doing some really good stuff with both characters, and I enjoy the anticipation of what's around the corner!

This cannot end well! Another fantastic issue, a calm before the inevitable storm, and Brian, you have an amazing handle on this title! Never leave Loved the opening, it was so sad and beautiful, and then with the party going to hell, that was just an awesome counterpoint. The date-night started out so well but we all knew it couldn't have lasted, and the idea of Red Tornado in a tuxedo just made me smile. I want to see it on a cover! The final scene was just... Yeah. Bloody Ollie. Typical Ollie. Bastard Ollie! 'Nuff said. Brilliant work, Brian! I'll be here... Next month!

All the various scenes were filled with emotion, and drama, and set up or furthered so many wonderful sub-plots. Thank you! These can be fun issues, but they are difficult to do, that's for sure! Thanks. I'm really trying to keep all these characters true to who they are, but allowing the to grow as well. But their is a question that now lingers with Kate... just how far would she go for her own child... hmmm... Poor Ollie. He's so misunderstood. ;D Will Connor help him grow, or will Ollie help Connor losen up? That is the question!
All in all, fun stuff. As always, well-done, and very tight. Good work, Brian. See you in thirty! Take care Don
Thank you for the kind words, my friend! Hope the next issue is as entertaining for you.

I check in here from time to time, and New Outsiders is always my favorite! I'm honored. Thank you and glad you are enjoying it. Well, if it were up to me, they'd be on their third child by now, LOL, but then what. The daily lives of Dick and Babs? Now what kind of fun would that be. Yeah, it was fun to write, but Ollie isn't a jerk... he's just misunderstood. When it comes to Kate and Helena... it's BIG! Hang in there and we promise that these two stories are going to kick in high gear in year 4, and hopefully you won't see what's coming until it's too late. ;D

I feel sorry for Helena, but not sorry enough. Kick her ass, Kate.
Ollie. Turn your back on Dinah and walk away. It's a no win scenario for both of you.
The Fero Corporation is coming, and that scares the crap outta me.....

This cannot end well! Another fantastic issue, a calm before the inevitable storm, and Brian, you have an amazing handle on this title! How can this not end well? It's the New Outsiders! Everything is a happy ending for these guys! I'm really glad people seemed to like that scene. I really enjoyed writing it. I do love these characters, more and more every time I sit down to write them. And Red in a tux on a cover... perhaps you need to do some cover reminiscing. Thank you Sir! It is always appreciated and I always look forward to your comments. But geez people, Ollie is so misundersood.

That first scene was so intense! Great job! I was reading, going, don't do it Kate, don't do it Kate! Weirdly enough... I was saying the same thing. That was one of those moments when I honestly could have gone in either direction, letting the story play out and feeling confident that either way Kate went, it would have made sense, but taken the character in different directions. But as I hinted before... this was just a hint of things to come...

Boy are all of you going to feel horrible when this is all over. ;D It should... and hopefully surprise you, too. Thanks for reading and responding, Jay. I'm always glad to see that you've stuck with this book.

Holy crap what an intense opening! Its driving me nuts with what you are putting poor Kate through. I almost feel guilty the way I am enjoying her story. I was screaming at the computer screen for her not to do it. You really have a handle on what makes Kate Spencer the best new character DC has put out in a long time.
So Vito Bertinelli got exonerated huh? Not surprising but intriguing none the less. Poor Helena. And poor Kate too. OUCH!
Then we have the mystery guy watching everything unfold. Even more intriguing. Seems this team can’t catch a break even after the major victory of last issue.
Helena has to deal with her Father. Babs and Reddy get their date interrupted before it even starts, even Anarky isn’t immune from the discontent of his past.
Another painful goodbye for Ollie and Dinah topped off with more Ferro business.
For a quiet issue there was a lot going on here!
Roy's cover was top notch. The detail he put into the Red Tornado image was amazing.
Another 5 star issue!
