Another butt-kicker of an issue. The aftermath of the Ferro crisis has left the Outsiders in a weird spot and it's going to be interesting seeing them get out of it.
Throughout this series, one fact remains true: the team cannot function without Batwoman. She is the Cap to their Avengers; the Molly to their Runaways; the Ofdensen to their Dethklok. And it's proven here. She is the only one who knows exactly what they need to do from here and can make sure it happens.
I kind of felt like the only really happy moment here was Reddy's return, which to me wasn't really that happy. Don't get me wrong, I love me some whirlwind-making robot, but he honestly couldn't stay dead to save his life.
And now, the fight. This is the confrontation we have been waiting for since Kate first joined and it's amazingly written. It's the right balance of action and emotion that makes for a great conflict.
Plas is still in my prayers. I'll be back next month.

Christ, what a little epilogue. And I'm saying little, but come on, this is New Outsiders, and Brian, you have once again blown me away. I honestly thought that Fero was a bit of a shaky crossover, but it came together in the end, and this ties that up quite nicely. Thanks for taking the time Brian to deliver this, and congratulations to the entirety of the creative team. Mark and Roy, you really help this book shine. Catch you next month!

This was a must-read issue! Each scene was strong in and of itself, and when you put it all together, it takes your breath away. I really feel bad for Plas...which is a phrase I never thought I'd type. Not that I don't like him, but he's generally a humor character. His (disintegrating) thoughts revealed here, however, paint a different sort of picture. Please get better, Eel! You could've sold tickets to the Kate/Helena throwdown! Geez, those two really worked out their tensions, didn't they? I'm afraid to see what's going to come next!

For some odd reason, I love to write aftermath issue's from big events. I think it's more fun to get the emotional consequences from something like that. Glad you liked it! You've noticed that, huh? Thank you for that since I've really tried for the last year to show that exact thing. Babs was trained by the best, after all. And I've really strived to show what Batwoman would be like if she had never been paralized. You could be right there, but if he keeps getting blown up, he may just get the same attitude of Marvin. "Life... don't talk to me about life." ;D Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was a nervous wreck about that scene. He's in mine too. See you next month and thank you for always reading and always responding. You really do honor me by coming back month after month.

Sorry to hear the Fero story was a little shakey for you, but it did do what Roy and I wanted it to, and that was to shake things up a bit in all three titles that it ran through. And a BIG thanks for acknowledging Roy and Mark. I couldn't ask for a better team of creative people to be working with. We are the three Amigos! That's me on the left, Mark in the middle, and Roy on the right. ;D Thanks for reading and responding, Charlie. It means a lot!

This was a must-read issue! Each scene was strong in and of itself, and when you put it all together, it takes your breath away. I'm blushing. Thank you so much. I've always loved Plas' sense of humor, but nobody is one dimensional, and I really wanted to show that with him. I love the fact that people are really pulling for him and enjoyed his inner thoughts as he dies... errr... is sick. Honestly, Susan, what is coming next for these two, I hope everyone enjoys, because it's been building for a while, and in many ways, this was probably just the end of the first chapter of their stories that seemed to be so intertwined at the moment. Thank you much for taking the time!

To me, that is a big chunk of what DC2 is for. Rooting for Kate in the fight. I should feel sorry for Helena, and in other circumstances I have, and will again. But Kate had the right of this one. AND DON'T GIVE UP PLAS!!! DO YOU HEAR ME?!?[/i]

I have never agreed with you more than in this. To do right by a character that DC did wrong. To me, that is a big chunk of what DC2 is for. Well, in DC's defense, I think what they did with Barbara was well done. They gave her a tragedy and created one of the strongest women in comics history. However, it is fun to have her not only in charge, but able to be in the trenches, as it were. Kate and Helena are becoming even more intertwined, and it's not going to get any easier for either of them in the near future. [/i][/quote] Next issue... my friend... next issue will reveal the fate of Eel. Thanks Jay. As always.
