Dragonbat
Real Name: Ellen (or Esther) Fleischer
Current position: Writer (Elseworlds: Batman: Lost to the Night), Editor (Nightwing)
Background: BA English Literature from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec. Certificate in Publishing from Ryerson Polytechnic, Toronto, Ontario.
First fanfiction: "When Times Converge" (1989), a Star Trek play I wrote in college. My first foray into DC fanfiction was in 2003 with "Mayday" and "After the Fall".
Plans: Basically, I want to give Nightwing the treatment he should have been getting in canon the last few years. I want to establish him within the DC2 as an individual distinct from Batman. He has enormous respect for his mentor, but he also has his own methodology and opinions. While he certainly wants Batman's approval, I'm hoping to take him to a point where he no longer needs it. The first arc in Nightwing is all about Dick Grayson finding out who he is and where he fits in. Here's hoping you like where he ends up!
Influences:
In the fanfic world: John Westcott, SKH, Gina Ivy, Charlene Edwards, Reichenbach, Arlene, Sandra Miller, Syl Francis, and most of the other fanficcers on the yahoo groups bludhaven list. If these people hadn't shown me what great fanfiction was, I don't know if I'd ever have tried my hand at it.
In the professional realm: Tamora Pierce, Gordon Korman, David Eddings, Terry Brooks, Chris Claremont (in the 80s when he was good!), Gail Simone, Peter David, Jean M. Auel, Kenneth Oppel, Kit Pearson, Lois Duncan, Andersen Gabrych.
Interests: Reading, Cooking, Broadway, New Country music, Sid Meiers Civilization II.

Then one day I started checkin’ out a few books from the library because I found out the magical plastic apparatus known as a “library card.” I checked out random JLA tpbs from the Morrison Era and then one day I stumbled across DKR. I was hooked from that day forth, still getting tpbs but by the backpack full. Eventually I would buy sporadic issues of Green Lantern until I thought they were going to kill m’boy Kyle Rayner (who I loved from the Morrison JLA and random Green Lantern) and I began to buy it regularly since issue 179 of the third run. Now if it has Green Lantern (or ion <grumble>) I pick it up.

StarLord
I live in a small town in Michigan, near Detroit and Ann Arbor (go Wolverine's) and graduated from Central Michigan University. I work as a court clerk for the county court system. My earliest influences in comics were Clairmont/Byrne on their famous X-Men run and of course Wolfman/Perez on the New Teen Titans. The book that really made me take an interest in comics! I have been given the privledge to write for the New Outsiders and am having a blast doing it. I've also got a green light for an All-Star Plastic Man in the near future. To no one's surprise, my favorite character is Green Arrow and in the future I hope to be helping out on a Green Arrow series. Also want to take a moment to thank David, Brandon, Ramon, Charlie, Roy, and everyone else who have been really supportive in my first attempts at writing in this genre.
Peace, Starlord

Goldk
I started reading Superman comics in the late seventies. I still remember where I bought my first one. It was a 500 page giant anniversary with an infinity cover!
I never tried to draw my own comics 'till 1980, when one fateful day, a high school classmate turned to me and said, "Pssst, you wanna read a comic I drew." Then I started drawing my own by copying covers and panels that I liked.
I took art class in high school and soon I was drawing my own stuff. For nearly twenty years, I drew nearly every day in some form or fashion, doodles or commissioned stuff or continuing ed type art classes.
In the late nineties, some friends of mine and myself published our own small press comic under FBInk. called Ultramouse. It was for all intents and purposes Superman with a mouse head.
I wrote and drew the kind of stories that I wished were being done at that time in Superman, only with mice who lived in Mouseopolis and mild mannered reporter Justin Case who was actually Ultramouse who had been rocketed from the doomed planet Mouseton. Don't laugh, it actually got some good reviews from the Small Comic Press. We actually did a couple of conventions.
Family and other matters pulled me away from it and we faded into comic oblivion. But somewhere out there are actual copies of Ultramouse #1 #2 and #3! Some of you don't have them do you?
Then a couple of months ago I was reading the DC boards and came across the link for DC2. I checked it out and immediately knew that this was something that I wanted to be a part of. I did a quick art sample for our editor-in-chief and as they say, the rest is history.
I really enjoy working with everyone here and turning out artwork for what is some of the best comic stories I have read in a long time, and that includes the "professionals".
I hope to be a part of this sight for a long time and hope everyone enjoys the wonderful stories and tremendous artwork produced here.
Keep reading and spread the word. DC2 is second to none!
Roy Flinchum, Up, Up, and Away!

(A fact that still keeps me up at night) I won my first national art contest at the age of 8, designing a Holiday Stamp for the United States Post Office, winning me a (Never used) College Scholarship. I discovered comics at a very early age, when we moved from Dracutt, Mass. to Southern California...on the 7 day drive across the country, my parents bought us comics every day to help pass the time...all my young brain needed to see was Hawkeye & Mockingbird fight Goliath(2) to know that this was a world I wanted to live in. From there on I discovered the world of "Golden Age" and "Silver Age" DC, and my deepest love for the medium was ignited. Since then, I have been absorbed by comics, and art in general. I self published a comic called The Scream with my twin brother for 3 years (combining two of our favorite things; Rock & Roll and Superheros...before such a thing became popular...) I have done CD covers, Rock Show Posters and T-shirt designs, and did music journalism for 2 years. For the last 7 years, I have managed a local comic store, Comic Quest (28 E. State St. Redlands CA, 92373) Here I met the notorious Scott "I know way too much about the Legion of Super Heroes" Kruger, and a budding artistic partnership was started. The world would never be the same.

The first picture I can recall drawing was a finger painting I did of R2-D2 and his 'wife' and 'child' when I was around five. I started collecting comic books in 1983, my first comic being G.I.Joe #25. In 1987, as the Legends miniseries was wrapping up, I picked up Action Comics 587, starting a (so far) lifelong love of DC Comics. I started drawing superheroes shortly thereafter, with the JLI, Legion and the New Gods taking up most of my time. While I was in the Navy, I discovered Japanese comics and swiftly changed my art style, something which was rather difficult to do. In 1993, I started sending submissions to Antarctic Press, a Texas-based company whic was accepting stories for their various annuals. In 1994, my first published story was in Antarctic Press' anthology Girls of Ninja High School #3. In mid-1996, my first creator-owned book, Druid Warrior Grace, was published from Brainstorm Comics. In 1999, Tales of Marga, my first multi-part series, saw print at Radio Comix and proved to be very popular with the readers of Furrlough. It currently sits at #5 on the top 10 Furrlough list. In 2001, Gold Digger: Pink Slip began running as the back-up in the monthly Gold Digger book from Antarctic Press. In September of 2005, Pink Slip was collected into trade paperback form and was released onto an unsuspecting public. As of now I have been published in nearly 50 different books and am looking to try and get some work from DC this summer at HeroesCon. Fingers are crossed!
