And it's officially hit the fan.
I'm not surprised Vito Bartinelli was killed. Too many people hate him for him to stay alive (much like Jason Todd). What I am surprised is that it happened so early. I expected this to be a multi-issue arc (and maybe it is and i'm not realizing it), but the payback would be more built up to.
I like the inclusion of Shadow Thief. He's a cool character and super-power fights are always fun to read.
I wish there could have been more time with Ramsey and Kate's "co-workers", but in an issue of so much hardship, the window of comedy can only be so small.
Another amazing issue. Keep doing what you're doing. And my thoughts are with Kate Spencer.

Good issue, Brian. Felt the ebb and flow and felt the tension with Ramsey. I wasn't completely sold on the Vito scene, but then again you ended it well.
I too wished for a bit longer comedy scenes, but all in all another fine issue you've concocted.
**** from me.
**** from me for the cover. Good job Roy.

I expected this to be a multi-issue arc (and maybe it is and i'm not realizing it), but the payback would be more built up to. Well this is very much a multi issue arc; athough if you look at it, the story of Vito's death really has been building since the very first issue of New Outsiders. Some (Kate for instance) might not agree with you and might think that Vito died too late. Glad you liked his first appearance here, and his story is also beginning. Some issue's it's easier to add humor more than others, and you are right, this wasn't one of them. Although I always try to add even a little in every issue. But with so much death and mayhem this month, it just wasn't a lot to go around. Thanks for your continuing support. I always look forward to your feedback! and keep Kate in your thoughts, because I taken a peak at the road a head for her... and next issue is a doozy.

I keep trying to stump him, but he keeps slipping from my grasp with these awesome covers! ;D I swear, there will be more comedy along the way. I know I've gotten away from it lately, but with this new arc, expect to see Plas part of the team to investigate the murder (and you know he's always got something funny to say). Just out of curiosity, what part of Vito's scene didn't feel right to you? I'm very curious. again, thanks for reading and responding honestly. Like every writer, I appreciate the feedback as well as the support.

Christ. This was a really intense ride, and I knew what was coming but when it happened... wow. This book is so continuity heavy, I'm really surprised it's such a tight, focused read every month. You have call backs to earlier issues, other titles, and it all works! This story arc has been building for years now, and I can't wait to see it resolved. I'm really enjoying your stuff Brian, you won't let me down!! And Roy, great cover, made me grin and that's weird considering the content of the issue

The Order of Saint Dumas are never the most fun people in the world to have around. And it only gets worse from here.
I would cuddle Helena and Kate, but neither would appreciate it.
Over the edge....

Things are really amped up now. Very intense, heavy issue. "Blood Bath", indeed.
There was still some lightness amidst the carnage. Just the thought of Red Tornado, Plastic Man and Grace babysitting is a riot. Unfortunately, lots of guilt will be spread around, I'm sure, from Kate's "mother's guilt" to Plas for leaving the kid in the car. Hopefully the team can pull together in this time of crisis. Or will this signal the beginning of the end?
And you've actually set up an old-fashioned "whodunnit" in the case of Vito. You have plenty of suspects with tremendous motive. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
And Vito got what was coming, and it had been coming for a long time. Bastard.

I have to admit that I do worry that this book can be to continuity heavy. But you are right, this had been building since the first chapter of Issue #0, written by our very own David Charlton.

Over the edge.... The Order will be lurking in the back ground for a little while, but there is a grand plan out there! and Kate probably wouldn't want to cuddle at the moment, but Helena has been known to cuddle in the past.

Things are really amped up now. Very intense, heavy issue. "Blood Bath", indeed. Really, this is the opening chapter. This is signaling something. Because nearly every Outsider is going to be effected by this murder in one way or the other. Some in ways that you just wouldn't believe... I hope the pay off will be worth it. I really don't want to say too much, but I also hope you enjoy the ride to the killer. Oh Vito will be back. I'm just waiting for Superboy Prim to show up and do some wall punching. ;D
