She's not dead.
As beautiful as the last scene was, she's not dead. Or at least not dead for long. The death itself was too simple and unceremonious to be a proper send-off for this character. Plus, the matter of Helena's faith was never settled.
Regardless, this was a good issue. Helena is a character with more tragedy than Batman and it's really nice to see a look inside her head. Interaction with other heroes is always a nice touch and bringing in Kid Eternity was a stroke of genius. And that fight scene was the just brutal. Very nicely done.
Quick question: Am I the only one who doesn't remember who Dr. Charlton is?
Very well done issue. As always, i'll be back next month. And remember, kids: She's not dead. She's just resting.

Quick question: Am I the only one who doesn't remember who Dr. Charlton is? He's the villainously slimy doctor who helped them out on many occasion-- only to sell them out, I do believe, to Brother Blood. He's evil! Can't you tell?! Brian, I'm looking forward to this issue so much (even if the above feedback kiiinda ruined it for me ) and I'll get to it later today!

He has a PhD in Evilology! (Everytime he rears his head, I can't help buut think of Dr. Nick from the Simpsons, though: "Hi, everybody!")

Pretty much true. And with a name like that, you know he's bad news. Bad News Charlton.

Bloody Hell, this was an emotional roller-coaster! You give Helena a semblance of closure in one area of her life, and then you do that?! Brutal, but not unexpected when it comes to this title. It was nice to see New Outsiders interact with another DC2 title, you don't normally get a direct "crossover", as it were, but it worked quite well. I liked seeing the villains of the piece reveal themselves (well, some) and I was quite surprised by Charlton's ( *shudder*) reveal as you-know-who. Always thought that was going to be someone else, heh. Anyway, great issue, I'll be back next month! Keep up the good work, Brian!

Wow. Bold move... maybe? I think her death may be premature, but you really sold it well. He send-off wasn't really sad, but more solemn. Helena's been suffering non-stop since Vigilante's death, and she really never got a chance to get over it (I feel) and now she's found the "release" of death. You've left me feeling conflicted and confused and genuinely sad, which is amazing considering this is an online fanfic comic dealie. That's deep. Good for you.

Plus, the matter of Helena's faith was never settled. Yes she is. Maybe she is... maybe she isn't. Hmm... I'm glad you liked the last scene. And in all seriousness, no, Helena's question of faith has only just begun. Yeah, I've kind of heaped it on Helena pretty bad, but Kate losing her son (which will be addressed next issue) is pretty nasty as well. Glad you enjoyed the Kid Eternity moment. And huge THANKS to Don for letting me borrow both him and J'onn! I think Charle and Dave explained the Doctor pretty well. Thanks much for taking the time. I always look forward to your thoughts and comments.

Well I'm glad I got to surprise you with the reappearance of the good/bad Doctor. It's kind of a weird thing to use him in such a large fashion, but there is a bit of logic in it and there will be even more when we actually delve a bit more into the history of Dr. Charlton. Who knew a character that was created as a nod of thanks to the creator of this book would take on such a large role in the Outsiders lives. LOL. I didn't! Thanks for taking the time, Charlie! As always, it is appreciated.

Thank you very much. As I stated earlier, Huntress is one of my all time favorites so I tend to abuse her a lot. That didn't come out right. Thanks for taking the time! It is much appreciated!
