Spectacular debut! I wasn't sure what to expect from this inaugeral outing of Jamie Rimmer's--- DC2 artiste extraordinaire--- but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this story. Who knew he had it in him ! This story was brimming with raw fun and superhero antics! It does what every good Elseworlds tale does, presents us familiar characters and settings in a new and novel way. The Big Three of the League is a natural evolution of the situation, except for Superwoman... Nice twist there! Dinah as League chair is well done--- and boy does she have her hands full with the Queen men! Let's hope she's able to get the League back together! Rachel seems an interesting character (love the name of her cat ;D); but is she the Raven of Titans lore, or her daughter? As far as Trigon being the Big Bad--- okay. Been done. But I get the feeling we are going to see something very new and interesting here... Also, what the heck happened with Starro and the appearance of Kimiyo Hoshi? That was never explained before the five year jump... One quibble: the beginning mentioned that Superwoman had no need to harness the power of the sun, but if I am not mistaken, Tamaranian physiology is dependent upon sunlight to a certain extent (Koriand'r always luxuriated in the sunlight)--- I think they evolved their powers of flight from it somehow...? Of course, I realize this is an Elseworlds and this may be different in the Rimmerverse--- as I said, only a minor quibble. That cover was fantastic! This world's Big Three looming in silhouette, with a fancy re-designed Black Canary in distressed. Lots of drama in that shot! I'll be back next issue!

I'll be back next issue! oooo my first response!!! and of course it is from one of my favourite writers here! thankyou for taking the time Dave, i really appreciate it. Rachael is indeed the Rachael from the Titans verse, basically the new teen titans never happenned, Trigon has chosen now to make his pressence known on earth, and therefore, Rachael was born much later-she is a lot more similar in age to the Rachael from current teen titans comics, who is currently sorta in her third life in regular continuity!!! Kimiyo Hoshi...hmmm...dont worry all will be explained here, and it will be adressed possibly with some different and unexpected results in coming months. the five year gap is something i aim to explore in heaps more detail soon... with regards to starfire, nice catch, yeah she does harness ultraviolet rays to an extent, but i always saw that as less of a dependence than that of superman, the idea that the sun being blotted out would literally devastate him in my mind, wheraas starfire, through the experimentation with the aliens who abducted her, her powers were somewhat transformed...there will be more on this later and thanks for noticing the name of rachaels cat too, i was happy with that little touch! ;D seriously you have no idea how nervous i was with this coming out, with not having written anything for a good few years! thankyou for tuning in, and yes, please do come back next time, deffinitely more to come!!!

This debut issue has everything a great Elseworlds title should have. A brand new world to explore, fascinating characters that are familiar, yet different, and a writer who obviously has a desire and passion to tell his story.
Excellent building blocks here and a fantastic story. I also feel sorry for Dinah when it comes to those Queen men. That moment between her and Roy was probably my favorite in the issue. Well done.
Cover was, as always, beautiful.
