Firstly, I noticed a few spelling mistakes and continuity problems early in the issue--
And that was the only thing wrong with this issue! It was a delight to read, and to see the Outsiders battle Brother Blood's team was fantastic. Question: Where they wearing their costumes? Because now, haven't their identities been compromised? Uh-Oh! Seeing the aftermath from the final issue of DC2 Nemesis was always brilliant, because... well, duh, obviously. I do love Giovanni, and Tamara's return was very interesting to behold. Vigilante continues to terrify, and well, I have nothing but praise for the current direction, and this is issue was fantastic.
Great work!!

Any issue that explores the delightfully creepy relationship of Black Canary and Plastic Man has my vote!
If I wasn't already a regular reader of this title, the gorgeous Jamie Rimmer cover would have sucked me in! Lots of emotion in that stark, downcast image--- even Basil looks sad!
Babs is on the bubble and seems likely to pop. Grace's revelation of her ties to the team even before joining was neat! It was good to see Zatara, and Tamara remains deliciously snarky.
Favorite scene, however: Plas and his rendevous at the cemetary! "Neither of us have ever left the Danger Trail, have we?" YES! Bring on the crossover!
Brother Blood has always been one of my favorite villains, so I am reallly looking forward to the annual and the big showdown. Hope Lonnie makes it!
Lots of irons in the fire in this issue, and they are all burning bright! Five stars!

You can't just have a quiet funeral issue, can you?
Glad you didn't.
It's good to see the team reacting to death (or at least comic book death). Kate, Dinah and Plas have the best reactions to it. Grace...is a horrible grief counselor. I'm no expert, but it doesn't seem good to say "You're wrong. Shut up and listen to me." while someone is grieving. Although maybe Babs needed it. I don't know.
I'm interested to see where the Church of Blood goes. Now that they have more characters involved and powerful ones at that, they could be a very interesting big bad.
And Helena...now where's that scamp gone off to now?
All in all, good issue. Glad there's a stark contrast between the grieving segments and the action scene at the end. And, as always, i'll be back next month.

Firstly, I noticed a few spelling mistakes and continuity problems early in the issue-- oops. Since one of the team members is Dr. Charlton, I think it's a pretty safe bet that there secret identities have been fully compromised. Thank your very much Charlie. Being able to use a piece of what I consider to be one of the absolute best stories on this site was a real privilege.

Any issue that explores the delightfully creepy relationship of Black Canary and Plastic Man has my vote! I'm not sure Dave, but I think you and I may be the only ones getting a kick out of these two. LOL! Jamie is amazing, isn't he. Wait til you see what he has coming up for this title. It'll knock your socks off. And I actually had a small scene with Basil that I ended up cutting. I just couldn't figure out the best place to put it. It was fun to write Tamara again and I really thought the moment between Kate and Zatara needed to be in there. I really hadn't had the chance to explore Kate's loss as much as I've wanted to. And Babs? Yeah... poor Babs... Glad you liked it! Don was a huge help in that scene and I was kind of proud of it, myself. I really hope I do right by Brother Blood and what Don and I have planned. Many of those irons have been heating up for well over a year now so I'm looking forward to letting loose. And I can't tell you enough times how much your support of this title really means. Thank you. [/quote]

You can't just have a quiet funeral issue, can you? Glad you didn't. If you think the funeral is something, wait til you see the upcoming wedding! Well, Grace is a bit rough around the edges, but she's also the most practical of the team. She knows danger is barreling down on them and Babs is not in the state of mind she needs to be. So a little slap in the face may be what their leader needs... or not. Oh the Church is going places! Trust me. Helena's going places too! ;D And thank you for reading and always taking the time to respond as well. But you don't have to wait a full month in November. The 3rd annual is coming out in just under 2 weeks and then the cross-over event with Danger Trail begins in earnest in just under 30 days! And oh is it a doozy!

Adrian's grave doesn't have a body? Is that a retcon or did we all miss that the first time around? Interesting.
