Zatanna is back, but she's darker.
Ollie's been sleeping with a Bad Girl for a year.
Adrian Chase just screwed the Outsiders over.
But I don't think he brought them down....I think they just have to go underground.
Amazing.

Thanks for your comments Arcalian, they are always appreciated. To set the record straight, though, Ollie never actually slept with the "bad girl". She showed up in the NO Annual (which took place a year after Dinah left), and from then on she refused to sleep with Ollie until after the wedding. If you're talking about that "other" bad girl (the one that warms my heart), that happened before NO even started.
As for Adrian... well the next two issue's will address that story. Stick around, it should be interesting.

Great issue, Brian! This neatly wrapped up some storylines lingering over the last year, with one last big one careening towards climax: the inevitable downfall of Adrian Chase. There are no going back from his actions in this issue--- I just hope the Outsiders can bring him in before he completely self-destructs! The next two issues should be very interesting (to say the least)!
Wow, that Royal Flush Gang just won't stop! Zatanna's on a quest now, but I hope she isn't eaten up with revenge like Vigilante--- and maybe she'll finally find her mother and/or father...?

Thanks Dave! I can promise everyone that for the immediate future, The Royal Flush Gang will be lying low. There are a lot of other villains out there that The New Outsiders have yet to meet up with. As for Zee, well Mark and I are working on it, and I promise you that something fun is brewing which may bring a family together... one way or the other... maybe... And check out Borize's new cover! It is AWESOME!!!

Thanks guys.
An amazing story. Cant wait to find out what will happen to Adrian. Especially now that he knows who ordered the murder. And how will Helena react... Wow.

That "hallucination" Adrian suffered got me thinking, and I can't wait for the conclusion to this long running character arc of Vigilante! From his Adventures of Superman cameo to his main appearances here, Adrian Chase is one of my all time DC(2) characters in existence. Vigilante #50 is one of my most prized posessions, and one of the issues I'm not selling in "The Great Comic Collection Purge"... Coming to an eBay near you soon!

All in all a satisfying finish to the current arc. A plausible wrapup to the story while raising enough questions to keep one coming back for more. Questions such as: how did the Royal Flush Gang discover G.A.s idenity? Did they figure it out themselves or did someone give them the information; Virmin Vunderbar, the DEO or somebody else? I don't think we've seen the end of D>A> Brennen. Adrian's action of shooting his eyes out makes too good an origin for a villan. Finally, as a continuity buff I couldn't help being somewhat excited when the people over at Question decided that Johnny Double lives in Vegas. He was always one of my favorites in the D.C. universe and I'm looking foreward to seeing more of him in the D.C.2; either here or in the Question.

Riz: Thanks again for the awesome cover! I hope somebody puts it on the front page soon, it's great. And come on back for the next two isue's that will wrap up all your questions with Adrian and Helena. a2uton: some of your questions will have to remain a secret for a bit. But there is so much more to The Royal Flush Gang, however, their time in the sun has come to an end for a little while. And yes, Brennen is dead. D E A D. sorry. No plans in the near future for Johnny to show up here, but you never know what may happen. Thanks for reading and for your thoughts. Charlie: I hope my take on Adrian will always meet your approval since I know how much you love the character. I also want to say how impressed I am that you not only got a plug in for The Question, but for your E-bay sale. Only you, sir! ;D

That cover was breathtaking. Hats off to you, Borize! Great issue, you wrapped up all the dangling plotlines nicely. Honestly, I thought the faux Dinah was Tamara...shows what I know! And Adrian's caught on tape! Oh man, this isn't going to end well! My only complaint is what you did with Dinah near the end of the battle: you've made this big deal for months now about how Desaad changed her, she's not really human anymore, blah blah blah...then fix it all by having Zee waggle her fingers. What was the point of all that, other than setting up to be sure that you could "kill" her without causing permanent damage?

That cover was breathtaking. Hats off to you, Borize! Isn't the guy amazing! Not that everyone here isn't, but he constently floors me. Glad I was able to surprise you with the faux Dinah. Adrian on tape... hmm... wonder if there's a tape of him and Helena from issue 8, lying around somewhere? ;D I'm really glad you pointed this out, Susan! The fact is that my original plans were to let the Dinah story go on a while longer, but the closer I got to this issue, the more I was underwhelmed with the potential of her story. So I decided to cut my losses on it and wrap it up here. After deciding that I thought it would be a great way to show the readers just how powerful Zatanna can be, now that she is tapping into powers that she had never tapped into before. I mean, look at it! This young magician just altered a being on a molecular level. That's some pretty strong stuff! That's also the reason why I "killed" Dinah at the end. I wanted the readers to fully understand just how much of a change Dinah had been through, and that Zee was able to just reverse it with a wave of her hand. I'll admit though, Dinah's side of the story came off a bit weak though. As always, thank you for reading and for responding. I'm always excited to see your name in the letter's thread, and even more tickled that you called me on this. You care! You really care!!!

I have some ideas in mind, Bo, but they're so far down the line, I can't tell you...no, wait, I could use you for...hmm, I'll drop you a note! Yes, Brian, I do care. You write great, and I know you want feedback, so I gave you something that I wasn't even sure you wanted to hear. But I felt that I should say something, especially because no one else had, and a writer can't improve on postive feedback alone -- all those pats on the back do make you feel good, but I personally like to know when I made a mistake. So here's a pat on the back for showcasing Zee's new bad-assness, and a flick on the earlobe for making Dinah look like a whiny chump! ;D

As a treat to my self for getting a lot of plot breakdowns done I sat down to read one of my favorite titles here. Thanks Brian or an intense issue from beginning to end. Seeing the Huntress in action was kick ass! Then Black Canary came in and cleaned house. I sense she took advantage of her "year off" And finally Zee is back and badder then ever! Holy Crap she's almost scary now! It was good to see the Ollie wasn't completely fooled, at least at the end. But then again his foolish behavior with Huntress has come back to haunt him. But hey, whats an emerald archer to do when surrounded by some of the hottest chicks in the DC universe? Canary should cut the guy some slack! And then there was Adrian Chase. Poor sucker. Being blinded by rage has sure put the Outsiders and himself into a pickle now hasn't he? I too am a huge fan of Vigilante, Adrian Chase. I own ever issue of his series. His unmasking here reminds me of when it happened to him in the later stages of that series. And for anyone who knows, the dark road was a short one that eventually ended with a bang! You have done wonders with the character here and I trust the next two issues will be one helluva ride! Maybe that 'hot new assistant' will have a bigger role in the story? I agree that Black Canary's transformation back at the end was a let down of sorts. I do understand why you felt the need to end it like you did though. I completely trust in your ability to lead these characters on whatever incredible ride you have in store for them. And I also will be happy to see some baddies other then the Royal Flush Gang for a change. Thats one card trick that has been played out for the time being. I mean how been other Gambling themed villains do we need! Hey wait a minute! Whatever happened to the Gambler?

I'm glad you enjoyed it John! This issue, and the next three have been slightly sureal to write since so much of what I've been working on is coming to a close... but don't worry, for every door that closes, another one opens. The Gambler? The secret behind him and The Deck. It's still out there and you never know when they will show up again... perhaps with something big that is coming down the pike. I'm always glad that you've taken time out to read my stuff and it is always appreciated.
