Corny dialogue, cliched car chases and torture scenes, and a villain that left a lot to be desired... I loved it! The James Bond theme, whilst distracting in moments was awesome, showing Reddy's absorption of film trivia and pop culture at it's best, and the Sheet sisters? Ha! Cadmus has a mole, but who? Heh, I think I know. I was hoping to see TO more like his 52 characterisation, as he seemed a bit too much like Goldfinger in here, and not the ubercool super scientist that I'm used to, and yeah, I loved the "I expect you to fry" line, even though I groaned at the corniness! Even writing with a less serious tone Bri, you still pull out all the stops! And what a cover by Flinchers! Thanks for coming out with that, Roy!

Thank you for the honest feedback, Charlie. TO in this, was the hardest descision that I had to make, and probably will not be seen like this ever again (or probably shouldn't be). But I went very toungue in cheek on this one. Mostly because of the last several issue's I've written have been so heavy and dark, I just wanted to give myself and everyone else a breather.
Honestly, there's a lot in this issue that just didn't work, but I'm glad you liked some of it. Mark had a great deal to do with this issue as well, and I apologize to everyone for the lateness.
Roy's cover is AWESOME!!! And so you think you know who the mole is? Who the Outsider is that has been around for a while now? Well, next issue will tell the tale.
Thanks for reading and responding.

I thought this issue was exactly what was needed at this point: a change of pace, to give the reader some time to recover from recent events. This was a fun, madcap romp, that had me on the edge of my seat with it's terrific action sequences, and laughing outloud at the sparkling dialogue. The rapport that Barbara has with Reddy is charming and believable, and these two really shone in this story. One thing I was confused about--- is the Cadmus mole (the one who's been on the Outsiders' payroll for months) really Roy, as Babs believes? I wasn't clear on that. I demand the return of the Sheet sisters. They were awesome. And Reddy's joke made me chuckle aloud (you could say the fan hit the Sheet this time, I suppose)! Sorry ! The cover was the perfect accompaniment to this issue, nicely complimenting Reddy's pop-cultural fascination (by the way, while I loved the James Bond stuff, my favorite line had to be the Han Solo crib). But why isn't the cover dressed? No logo or issue number...? Mark? Ramon? What gives?

Well for me the issue worked perfectly, as it's more the kind of grand adventure thing I like. I only feel bad that I didn't give feedback before it's author was rushed to the hospital! The only thing I know for sure about the mole is that it isn't ******. Brian will know who I mean by that, when he gets back. I got most of the references, but was also most tickled by the Star Wars one. And yes, that cover is fun!

It was a nice change of pace. Definitely James Bondesqe as the Planet2 said. I loved the part where Babs and John break into Cadmus and then after their escape Babs is worried about breaking the law because John doesn't have a drivers license. I also think I know who the mole is.

Normally, at this point in proceedings, Brian would leap in enthusiastically and answer every letter in turn. Sadly, he's not around for the next couple of days, so I guess that, as editor, I better do it.
David, thanks for commenting. Just to clear things up. the Cadmus mole's identity is still unrevealed; Barbara's comment about Roy was just a guess at their identity (although that doesn't necessarily mean it's not right). Also, the cover (awesome cover, by the way, Roy) has now been lovingly dressed by Ramon with the title, numbering and some cool bullethole lettering. Thanks for keeping us on our toes, David.
Jay, thanks for commenting. It looks like you got one more reference than I did (I totally missed the Han Solo crib, whatever it was).
a2uton, thanks for commenting (I can't help thinking, at this point, that Brian would have thrown a little more variation into his replies). To find out whether you're right or not about the mole's identity come back next issue.

Jay, thanks for commenting. It looks like you got one more reference than I did (I totally missed the Han Solo crib, whatever it was). It was "Never tell me the odds." From Empire Strikes Back. Yes, I am a geek.

BWHAHAHAHA! While this was a funny tongue in cheek issue I am sure that repercussions from this will be felt in a more sinister way soon. This was great! I loved everything about it, From the title to the Sheet Sisters! Lord help us all when super-station runs the Schwarzenegger Marathon! Thanks guys for the comments on the cover. It was great fun to do!

It's cheesy, it's cliche and it's brilliant. Reddy's line with "Never tell me the odds" was dead on. Looking forward to the next issue!

Thank you all for reading and responding. And thank you Mark for responding to them. I'm delighted that this was received as well as it was. Also, giving credit where credit is do, although the first scene with Satin Sheet was mine, the Sheet sisters at the end was all Mark's brilliant idea... but who am I to say no to the people who want them back. They shall return! And yes, Roy, some of what was shown in this issue is going to turn very dark. I mean, it is the Outsiders. As for the revelation of who the mole is (the Outsider nobody knew about), I'll be interested to see if you all are right, next issue. But I will say that this person has been seen in the DC2 universe before, in other books.

"Three sheets to the wind"? Oy vey. Good issue, very tongue-in-cheek. A nice break from all the downer issues we've had lately, for sure (not that I want a yuk-fest all the time, mind you...) And I'm noticing a trend lately in the various titles, with Cadmus and shadowy figures popping up a lot. Hmm... Be well, Brian!

Thanks Susan. This was a bit of a diversion, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Keep reading, things are going to get dark again.

Now that everything has finally settled down around here it's time to catch up on my reading! This was a really fun issue but it really took off when Barbara said: “The odds of this working are over a million to one.” I laughed out loud even though I knew exactly what Reddy was going to say next. Good stuff. Using Red Tornado naivety as an excuse to to go all campy and corny works well and balances nicely with Batgirl here. So the New Outsiders have a secret member with a foul mouth on her huh? Interesting. I also liked the seeds of the Crisis taking root and growing here with Morrow being 'recruited' by one of the mysterious Queens of Checkmate I presume? All and all a good issue and a nice balance from the previous dark and edgier storyline. Plus Roy turned in a great homage cover making it a classic in his own right!
