Plastic Man in the New Outsiders? Who'da thunk it?
Excellent issue. The new team is coming together (As if by fate) and Roulette returns, feuled by vengeance, and turns the old team on it's ass. Good stuff all around. Looking forward to the next issue.

So Roulette is back and she wants revenge! She cooked up a very devious plan to boot. I won't spoil it here but it looks like the house is going to win unless... Nice to see the new Manhunter in action here. I guess you must have seen my request in the last letter col huh?  Grace Choi has quickly become one of my favorite bad-girls here Brian. She has the foulest mouth and the funniest lines. She makes having this a mature readers only title, fun. Speaking of mature readers only the jail scene was one of the most intense and brutally graphic scenes ever seen in this title. And being that this book has had its fair share of brutal, that’s saying a lot! Roy’s cover was incredible. Funny how I was so focused on seeing Catwoman, that I never noticed the roulette table until now.  So I went back and did the math and by my count there is still a few members left before the seven spots are full. I can't wait to see who shows up next. Again another five star extravaganza from Brian and Roy. |

Yikes! This arc is really picking up the pace! You're back on track Brian, after all the darkness and the IXXE tie-ins, and I'm glad to be along for the ride! The introduction of the new members was awesome, can't wait to see how they interact with each other, and the prison scene was... Satisfying. I'm glad the sonofagun got what he was given, but what does that say about me?

Don't keep me in suspense!  I aim to please. I have to admit, she's become very fun to write in a very short amount of time. Yeah, I thought so too. I'm still waiting for a certain "other" person to weigh in on this scene. I have to say that a part of me wrote this because I'm just in the middle of the Preacher series, so I was a bit influenced. Also, I'm a firm believer that in the end, you reep what you sew. LMAO! Yeah, I have to admit that when I first saw that amazing cover, it was the first thing my eyes were drawn too... Catwoman that is. ;D You might want to double check your count my friend, there's only one more left... somwehere out there. And I thank you for your constent support and critique. I always look forward it to it and appreciate it. |

Great issue. Loved how Grace and Manhunter met. You DID!!! Hahahaha, that's great! It was an iffy scene, in my opinion, but I ended up enjoying it, just wasn't sure how it was going to go over. There's still one more out there, you mentioned Grace twice, and who's to say it won't be one more guy. |

And I'm glad your riding along as well, my friend! I have to admit that three parter has been really fun so far, and is the first time in a while that it hasn't felt draining... emotinally.  And boy do we have some VERY strong personalities, don't we?! That is an excellent question, Charlie! And I mean that seriously. I think everyone of us has a dark side, and we all have that desire for veanegence when we or someone we love has been wronged. I know if it had been one of my kids, would I have it in me to not totally lose it? Thank you and thank you for reading every issue of this series that I've ever written. It is always appreciated. |

The Squealer got what he deserved. No HERO could do that to him, but another villain could. One with the motivation to do so.
I think Kate Spencer's legal career is over though. She and her kid will have to dissapear....

Okay, Plastic Man blew me out of the water! I'm glad he was a surprise to you, and others. He's a really under used character around here and I'm hoping to get a chance to really develop him, in a mature way... cause we all know he's a very mature character. I'm glad you thought the scene was okay. And you are right on both counts. Think so? Hmmm... we'll see. A more important question may be: How is Huntress going to react to all of this when it comes out? Thank you Jay, as always! They're not all together yet (as you well know), but we're getting there. |

If not for the sodomy thing, this would've gotten five stars. Yes, Munch deserved it, but I didn't wanna watch it!  Grace is wonderfully suited for this series, and her responses to Kate doing a header into her car were priceless. I also like how our "new" New Outsiders are coming together in the same slapdash fashion as the original group. It seems to fit the team. |

DUN, DUN, DUN!
The New Outsiders have been struck again the calamitous lethal master mind that is Roulette! Although this story has been covered in a good majority of mediums, I'm thrilled with what you have done here!
Before I go any further I would just like to sum up my thoughts on issues 8 to 22 in which I took a break from the DC2! I thought it was possibly the most dark and complex and intrigueing and gruelling piece of work I've come across in a long time! They team has gone through so much and reading the stories were so extremely difficult because I didn't want to see these characters I charish so much be dragged through this unforgiving and baneful mud, and yet I was hanging off every word! So kuttos to everyone who's hand a hand in this evolution!
I must admit I miss Ollie, Adrian, Red, Zatanna, etc but I'm in love with how this 2.0 version of the team is coming together. It looks as if we're getting a young Oracle in the works here with all these heroes under Batgirl's "operation"! I've never read anything with Grace before but she's beginning to grow on me and the introduction of Manhunter in the Outsiders was an amazing move because she is such an outcast and she's dark and gritty and I love, love, love, it!!

Sorry you didn't appreciate the punishment that Vito dealt out, but I think it was logical thing to have happen, under the cirumstances, and as always, I do my best to push the envelope with this book. Glad you are enjoying Grace. She'll be floating in and out of our little team. And I'm also very glad you liked the way they are coming together, I very much wanted this second generation to come together the same way the first team did, a nod or tribute you could say. First, thank YOU for taking the time to read all those issues! and you are right, each issue was, in a way, very gruelling, but in a satisfying way. It was very dark and since my love for these characters should be apprent by now, it was hard for me to write, many times. Well Ollie has his own book now and I highly recommend it. also, since I will admit to being very intimiate with the writer of that book, you never know when Ollie may pop up, or the NO may show up over there. I've missed Adrian since he died.  Zatanna's mini is honestly on it's way. Covers are being worked on and issue's are being written as we speak. But glad you like the way things are heading. Grace and Manhunter are going to be awesome characteres in the coming year. Just remember in DC2, Kate Spencer is brand new to all of this, so where she's going to fall in the spectrum of hero and anti-hero is still in question. ;D But I hope you'll enjoy it. And Welcome Back!!! |
