Letters to New Outsiders #51

The thing I love about the New Outsiders, is that this book celebrates what is great about DC2. Technically, it's an Original Title, since the origin and mission statement is so different from the original Outsiders, so in some ways it might be at a disadvantage compared to other titles that already have comparable DCU counter-parts.

But New Outsiders celebrates th history of DC2. This title continually impresses me all the time with interesting stories and character moments, plot twists and turns, and overall WTF moments, but it also tells a story that never stops. It seems like the New Outsiders are always going through the grinder, but I realized that maybe that's because the story never stops. This issue referenced the Joker beating, Apokalips, the Starro incident, everything. It really showed what the characters have actually been through and how much has changed. I almost think this issue was more landmark than Issue 50.

Barbara and Dick admitted their love for each other!!!!! I have been waiting for that for, well, since Issue 1 of New Outsiders. (Though, what does this mean for Dick and Kory?)

Once again, you take the predictable and the over-done tropes of comics and make me excited for it! This issue had everything, and I can't wait to read more.
