Hello everyone, to this, the first instalment of Planet DC2!
What can you expect from here, I hear you ask? Well, anything site-oriented, of course. Infomration about upcoming issues, arcs, mini-series and titles that aren’t even on the calendar yet, interviews with DC2 personal about the site, and more information, that hopefully you, the reader, might find interesting!
All of this is designed to help you navigate more easily and read the things you think you’ll like from the great variety of titles we’ve got! Now, let’s start with some tidbits of information, just to make you want even more!
I heard from the great editor of the Batman books that you should keep a close eye on the Detective Comics/Batman crossover and the issues after that, because things will stir up! Also, he self-promoted his City of Crime (an excellent read) a lot. Here’s a quote: “…Batman's life is going to get shaken up quite a bit. It all starts in my City of Crime, Batman special… We're going to be seeing to a threat to Batman that will eventually turn Batman's world upside. We're also going to be introduced to a new hero in Batman's ciricle who is going have a massive impact on Bats as 2007 unfolds...” Who will this mystery guy be? Check the monthly mini series out!
Also for the Batman fans, a two part Batman/Catwoman that is said to be very “cool”, made by our fellow writer Arcalian. And, by Scott Kruger, the DC2 version of… Well, not even I know, but it's said to be explosive!
And now surprising news. The skilled House Of Mystery (The Question Quarterly, Action Comics, part of the Power Inc. team) will leave his title, The Question ongoing, as of issue #7! But do not worry! It will be followed by a two-part arc by David Charlton himself (All-Star issues 1 and 2, Justice League, JSA, The Legend of Hawkman, too many others to mention). Good luck to both of you, guys!
Now, a list of titles you should check, and that I’ll be talking about in greater detail in later columns:
Action Comics
The Legion of Superheroes
Weird Western Quarterly
Suicide Squad
And what would all this be, without a bit of self-promotion? Go and read the Flash!
See you next time!
Sebastian Gutierrez, DC2 writer.
