Welcome to Planet DC2!
Sorry for leaving you alone last week, but there was little news to report and various disruptions got in the way. But do not worry, I’ll never do that again, I promise! And today, I’m extra packed with stuff!
Unfortunately, David (Idlewilder) had to step down from taking on the Question from #8 onwards, so Charlie is extending his stay there for two more issues, which will then be followed by a brief hiatus. And word is that it may need a change of title! And for those of you that can’t wait, The Question #7 has already been sent to the editors, and includes interior art and an alternate ending!
Chapter 8 of Lost to the Night, by Ellen Fleischer (dragonbat) is already at the proofreaders. You can’t miss this exciting Elseworlds tale!
The story of the Black Hand has started at Green Lantern in last week’s issue, and will be continuing in the next two! Go and read it!
Also, Mark Bowers (markymark261) has sent me a summary for his upcoming projects, starting with Teen Titans. After issue 16, the conclusion of the time- travelling Dark Raven arc, there will be two two-parters pitting the Titans against major villains who regular readers might well be expecting.
Following that, his Titans run finishes, and he plans to leap head first into the depths of the Challengers of the Unknown, for some bizarre (In a good way) fun!
Now, of course, this week there’s also the Flash! For those of you who love fast action-packed issues and powerful enemies, this two-part arc will be filled with it! Co-plotted and co-written by Immanuel, my editor! Great guy I tell you; if not for him, I’d have no issue this two months!
And lastly, coming up in future Planet DC2 columns, interviews with several writers of the site about their current issues and projects! A can’t miss!
P.S. So little Planet DC2s, and we have mistakes already! First, Charlie won’t be in “close collaboration” with David concerning the futuristic title Gotterdammerung. Second, there’s been talk about Action Comics Annual #1. It is actually Annual #2.
See you next week!
